Easy access. Front desk staff were accommodating. You have to travel about two blocks through a MH park to get to the back where the campsites are located. The camping area is fairly nice, but the MH area, while fairly well kept, is still pretty seedy. Would probably stay somewhere else if we were back in the area. We took a swamp tour which was great fun. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When we arrived at the 'Trailer Park' we were greeted by the rudest people I think I have ever met! The orange haired 'lady' that runs the office is a bitch! (After our week of staying in Capri Courts, I found out that she has multiple personalities.) The lady that owns the place refused to acknowledge me after I spoke to her twice. I don't know...she could have been hearing impaired. The F word is thrown around freely by the employees. I witnessed some of the employees asking campers if they could 'borrow' money from them. I think this is unacceptable behavior! Thank God we only stayed for a week and not the full month as originally planned. This is your proverbial trailer park trash. I will never stay there again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Their website says there is a length limit of 42 feet but the site we parked in could have easily held two units that size. There are pull thru and back in sites. Some of the sites are in a heavily treed area so satellite reception may not be available there. We were in site 343 (large site) and had no trouble getting reception despite the trees around us. The RV park is through a mobile home park and the units are old but they are well kept and there isn't any garbage laying around. Quiet park during the day and at night. The road is paved and the sites are concrete pads with a concrete patio and picnic table. The bathrooms and showers were being renovated when we were there so they should be nice when finished. There is constant maintenance and cleaning going on. They tell me they are getting wi-fi but none so far. Cable can be installed by the cable company if you are staying any length of time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The above review is dead on about this mobile home park. Never camped there, but live across the highway from Carriage Cove Mobile Home Park and jog through it on a regular bases. There is not much traffic, because there is only one way in and out and no dogs roaming around unattended. See quit a few residents living in RV's as a base to work in the Houma area and they are all very well maintained. Would give a higher rating if there was some shade in the day use area, although there is a nice open grass area with trees across the street. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

I lived here in my 28 ft 5'er for 14 months while my hosue was built. It is a mobile home community but rents lot space to RV's for 1 month or longer. They also have a spot for nightly visits. The nightly area can handle about 20 RV's, back in only. It's one big concrete pad (no Shade) and if they are full you will be very close together. I've seen 40 foot 5'ers in there and Class A's as well. The management is very friendly. Thier hours are something like 9 am - 4 pm M-F. I think the handy man lives there because he is always there even on weekends. They will work with you. Phone 985-872-2756. Make sure you give them a call before you arrive as they don't want you taking a space they have reserved for others. The park is well managed and they don't put up with any crap. In the time I was there 3 Mobile home owners were ejected. (Home and people) The common lawns are maintained my the staff and usually well kept. Each resident is responsible for their own yards. The park is quiet from around 11 pm till about 6 am. This is the best park (of 2) in the city of Houma. The only drawbacks- there is a shipyard behind the park and sometimes they do work through the night so there can be a lot of noise. It can be tolorated but if the wind is blowing in over the shipyard while they are sandblasting be ready to wash everything you own. In 14 months this happened about 4 times. Despite the probation and parole board officers visiting several of the mobile homes on a weekly basis I never felt in any danger. 99% of the residents are friendly, and like I said the management does not put up with any crap. If you need to camp in Houma you might want to consider it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
