This is our new home, as of the end of March, 2009. This is a new park, so many improvements and facilities/attractions are in the works, so I hear. Though there are no shaded slots as of yet, the Owner has planted MANY trees. The slots are not paved, but that's not a big deal. The park is VERY well-maintained. Full hookup, though there is no cable or wi-fi (may be in the works?). This park also has slots available for mobile homes in the front. I have to say this: The Owner is the BEST. His ambition and desire is that all of his tenants are comfortable, and he goes above and beyond anything we have ever experienced with ANY park manager/owner. The park is right next door to the Jennings City Park, which features a large fishing pond, an Oil & Gas Museum/Visitors Center, the "Chateau De Cocodrilles"(Alligator House), where you can see a few huge alligators(plus get the chance to hold a baby 'gator)and one of the biggest loggerhead turtles I've ever seen. There are TONS of toys for the kids to play on, plus a paved trail around the pond for exersise. The City Park also has many seasonal festivals. This is a family campground, and rules are enforced (no loud, late-night parties, trashed-up yards, etc), so if you want a good nights rest, or are looking for somewhere to homestead without having to worry about the kind of neighbors you might have (Manager/Owner are careful about keeping a safe, peaceful atmosphere) then you need to check this park out. I'm really only making an educated guess as to how many slots are in this park, but I can tell you it's really pretty large. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the plans I've heard mentioned come about. We are enjoying our stay here very much. The nightly rate may seem a bit expensive, but if you stay here on a weekly or monthly basis you will get a HUGE discount, believe me! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
