Small park but very friendly staff who zing relentlessly on their work quads, working, mowing, guiding and delivering wood, etc. Each new client is guided to their assigned site which is handy as the sites aren't really marked too well. We are a pretty large rig so we had to jockey around to get into and out of our spot. Priced reasonably for the amenities and nice and quiet while we visited. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
OK...so it's now 2010 and this campground has changed hands once again! Unfortunately, things have gone downhill...my wife calls this the "out-of-order" campground, since there is only one unisex bathroom/shower for the whole campground...the others are "out-of-order" as are the washing machines and the change machine! When I asked for a reduced rate, the friendly clerk said, "But there is ONE bathroom that works so I have to charge you full rate." Other than that, there are a lot of seasonals/permanent residents here, the Wi-Fi works well, the sites are level and graveled, and it's quiet. Needless to say, we will not be returning. We camped here in a Motorhome.
In the past the wife and I have camped here before...and really never enjoyed ourselves as it used to be run down, and the maintenance was poor at best. The owner of years gone by never seemed interested in the campers or what they thought of the place. News Flash !! NEW OWNERS & MANAGERS !! We stayed a week at the "new" Greenwood Acres and I have to say we were very very impressed ! These folks seem to really care ! The whole place has gotten a face lift right down to the smallest details. New updated Bathroom and Showers. Newly Updated and redone pool. Laundry to die for ! The Managers you will find this year are so curtious and extremely helpful. Over all I think you will be pleasantly surprised at this little family spot this year !! Keep up the good work! We look forward to our trip back through and many stays in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Campground could be better maintained and brought up to date. Staff is friendly, but there are few of them. There is a small restaurant on site, but no camp store for groceries or RV supplies. A good place to lay over for a while when traveling to or from Canada or Bar Harbor. We camped here in a Motorhome.
