I don't hand out 10's but this place so deserves the 9. The campsites are huge. They are surrounded by trees so each site is divided. When we told the desk clerk we had kids, they placed us right next to the playground. The playground equipment is brand new and safe. There are two rec halls, one for kids and one for adults. Free crafting corner for kids. the roads are paved and level. My pet peeve is dirty bathrooms and there was no worries here. Showers were free and clean. The lake is beautiful. We stayed in the fall so swimming was not an option, but the colors were unreal! This is the nicest campground we have ever stayed in and I highly recommend it!! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This is a great campground deep in a large red pine forest. Large private sites with great hiking trails an a fantastic waterfront, great for boating and swimming. There is not much in the area but this is a fantastic getaway spot. We will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Beautiful heavily wooded campground on Flagstaff Lake with some lovely large water front sites (water view, not really water access), we had #65 which has a narrow approach and the utilities on the left side so we just pulled straight in for a great view from our front windows. We have a 30 ft class A and found the road in the campground to be a bit narrow and tightly lined with trees in places but manageable. The sites not on the water are also large and wooded; they looked level, the surfaces are sort of sandy dirt. Most sites have water and electric and the campground has three dump stations. Staff on check in was friendly and helpful. They spray for biting insects which no doubt helps but it doesn't mean you leave the bug spray at home. Very nice park overall. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very, Very nice campground. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Paved roads. Level sites. Less than $20 a night with taxes for a site with electric (30AMP) and water. Owned by the towns of Stratton and Eustis. Almost all sites are covered by tall pines and are shady. Sites are also very large. Most sites you can't even see your neighbor. If this campground was closer to a major city they would have crammed twice as many sites in. Campground has 2 beaches on Flagstaff Lake. Sites 15, 17, 18, 21, 23 & 25 are on the lake front. Beach has boat ramp, rental canoes, kayaks, &
paddle boats. Campground has 3 Dump stations. Would definitely stay there again. Within 30 minutes of someone leaving the staff was there raking the vacated site. We camped here in a Motorhome.
