On the positive side, the campground has a beautiful view of and is on Sagadahoc Bay, not the ocean. At low tide, you can walk out for several hundred yards on the bay's sandy floor and dig for clams or shell hunt. A lot of natural beauty to behold. Mrs. Kosalka (owner/wife) was friendly, helpful and informative. A very nice lady. Fresh lobster & clams are delivered to your site on order. About 2 miles from Reid State Park which has four (4) great beaches. A great base for exploring up and down the coast as we did. Easy drive to Acadia National Park. On the negative, the place was shoddy at best. The bath house remained filthy for our entire 7 day stay. The bath house trash cans were emptied once. Trash on the floor. The toilets did not function correctly and were hard to flush, which often resulted in finding a full, over flowed toilet. The Port-a-potty at the bay side campground needs to be pumped out more than once a week, or they need to add another one. The dump station leaves a lot to be desired as well. The campground seemed just plain run down. Mr. Kosalka (owner/husband) leaves a lot to be desired as a campground host/owner. Not very pleasant and always seemed to be in a bad mood. Constantly complaining about the costs & effort involved with running a campground. Then he had the audacity to claim they were the highest priced campground around. This could be a great campground and has a lot of potential, but I would be hard pressed to return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Right on a large tidal bay, great for shallow swimming (high tide) or clam digging or walks (low tide), sandy beach adjacent. Very scenic area. Easy to find with directions from campground. Toilets are portapotties scattered throughout campground. Ocean sites are in large field area with no sewer connections, but honey wagon is available and dump site near entrance. Campground is not particularly well kept although the owners are very nice and helpful. Lots of room for kids to wander and play. Excellent lobsters (cooked or uncooked) available delivered to your campsite by local lobster people. Exceptionally buggy (mosquitoes and green head flies) when we were there in late July. Just south of Bath. Overall the campground is spacious in general, outstanding scenic views, great location, but needs basic maintenance and groundskeeping. We suffered a bad black ant infestation at our site, which, with the mosquitoes and flies, made our visit a bit unpleasant overall. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an awesome location for kayaking and boating. The sounds and smells of the ocean are really just only a stone’s throw away. Tidal bay is sandy not muddy allowing you to walk out during low tide. The sites are grassy and some are level. The campground has no frills other than the location. Owners are very nice and they will di clams for you upon request. We stayed on the Molly Point and had fantastic waterfront views. We camped here in a Motorhome.
