For location and beauty of the park, this CG is a ten; however, the filth in the bathhouses and the lack of enforcement of the quiet hours force me to downgrade our rating. We originally intended to use our pop-up, but since we couldn't get one of the three w/e sites, we decided to use our tent instead. We had site 60 in the Garrett Loop, which turned out to be a "handicap" site (accessible) and right beside a (noisy) cabin site and the bathhouse. This site was within short walking distance to a playground and a bit of a walk to the camp store and the hike to the falls (the beautiful main interest in the park). There was a visible presence to enforce the strict no-alcohol rule in the afternoon, but no one was around to tell our noisy neighbors at midnight to cut off the noise, so we had to -- Awkward! But the short hike to Muddy Creek Falls and the towering hemlocks made it all worthwhile. The CG part is completely shaded mostly by hardwoods, not the beautiful pines. We will return for sure and try next time to get one of the w/e sites. We camped here in a Tent.
The park has limited (3) full hook-ups, and one of them is usually a Camp Host. I guess for convenience and cost, the full hook-up sites are the closest to the bathhouse. Good sites, park very clean and the area is relaxing. The Falls is a fairly short walk from the CG. We have camped there last year and once this year, but plan on going back again later in the year. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
