Very nice campground. Staff was very friendly. Lots of historical sites to see nearby like Bennington Battle Monument (VT), The Natural Bridge, and Heritage Park Museum (about the construction of the Hoosac Tunnel). Also very close to Mount Greylock the tallest mountain in Massachusetts. We didn't get to drive up it because of the recent snow! We would go back here again to go up Mount Greylock hopefully, with better weather. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice state park. The sites are well spaced and quite large. Park staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint with the park is that the handicap facilities, as far as the shower goes, are woefully outdated. I have severe arthritis, and limited mobility, and found them impossible to use. The bench seat in the shower is old, cracked, vinyl, unsanitary and slippery when wet. There is no hand held shower head, and worst of all, no dry place to sit in the shower unit to get dressed, though the space is plenty big enough to accommodate a bench. This has NOTHING to do with the condition of the bath house. It was very clean, and the staff checked it numerous times a day. For the average camper, this is not an issue. Just for those of us who have limited mobility for one reason or another. This being said, I would still return here, as it IS a nice park in a good location with a great staff. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This park is set in a beautiful old growth pine forest with large boulders interspersed throughout. Some of the trees are real giants hundreds of years old. A good park for hiking and seeing wildlife too. We made the hike around the lake and saw a moose. Park staff are great as they have been in all the MA state parks we have visited. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
