This campground is located on the shores of Lake Superior and has without a doubt one of the most beautiful and scenic views in the State of Michigan. The campground is clean and well run with the only drawback being no sewers; of course, there is a dump station. A real plus is the free WiFi: somewhat slow at times but overall a surprise in such a remote location. Shore power was good and drinking water was excellent. We stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. Would rate it a 10 but felt I could not do so because of the lack of sewers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
What a beautiful spot for a campground! All of the sites are a few seconds walking distance from the Lake Superior shoreline. You can walk as far as you want in either direction along the shore, - a rocky shoreline at the campground. Yes, the sunsets are beautiful. The washrooms are plain but very clean. The three shower units are self contained with toilet, sink as well as shower. The sites are acceptably level, relatively spacious and there are lots of trees. I was surprised and pleased to have wireless internet available. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Absolutely gorgeous park, we stayed here in a motorhome right on Lake Superior. We were 20 feet from the lake, gorgeous views, especially at sunset. That's why they call it Sunset Bay. No wireless or cable, pretty primitive. Excellent hiking trails right along the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.
