The campground is nicely laid out, spaces generally reasonable. #30 is a pullthrough, but trees limit its utility. Several sites are not sufficiently level for a Class A though fine for tent/popup/trailer. No shower house (only vault toilets) and no flush toilets. Electric at each site. Faucet to fill tanks/containers available. There was NO Cellular coverage in the Lower Campground. 1/2 mile walk to the Historic town of Fayette. This was very fascinating and worth the trip. Free admission once you're in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is for 30 amp electric only. Gravel roads and sites. Self contained should arrive with full water and empty waste tanks, or at least room in the tanks for the planned length of stay. Big rig access is very tight. Many of the sites listed on the park website as suitable for big rigs have tight entries or exits, or low hanging branches. A fifth wheel during our stay took over an hour to get out their site with two rangers helping, so it is not a park for the faint hearten big rig owner. It's a great park for travel trailer, popup and tent campers. We loved our stay as the old town is great and would certainly return, but only if we could stay in certain of the big rig sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a single night just before Memorial Day. This is a nice place to visit since there's an abandoned 19th century town down by the harbor that's in the process of restoration by the state. The price is a little sporty for what you get: we had to pay an additional $6 single-day nonresident pass (in addition to the $18 overnight fee). Still, if you have some time to enjoy the restored town, this place is worth a visit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
