We were here before the schools got out for the summer and the campground was mostly empty. We stayed in the upper campground and were pleased. Users were spaced out and the entire campground was quiet. Rangers had everything clean. The fire pits were cleaned out, firewood is available, and canoe/kayak rentals are already available. The beach was raked and ready. We enjoyed all of the trails both around the lake and through the woods. Will be back here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a clean park with average size, grass with shade and sun sites but very narrow roads. The park is quiet at night. There is a long paved nature walk to the beach. Great for those who enjoy a walk in nature. We take a wagon to pull our towels, chairs and picnic. The beach is clean, warm and sandy. It's a great park. If the sites were easier to navigate with a larger trailer we would go back to Brighton in a second. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We were ahead of the season and there were only 4 other sites occupied. The restrooms were cleaned every day, showers had plenty of hot water, and the park was very clean and free of trash and debris. Were here with 3 other rigs and had a great time. The weather was still a little cool but walking the trails and around the lake was relaxing. We will come back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a typical Michigan DNR campground. Electric only, 20 & 30 amp, with water spiggots (no threads for hoses) here and there and dump station on the way out. Toilet and shower building is new and clean. Grass goes up to lake in the lower campground and a sandy beach is a walk along the lake. Boat launch is available on the lake. Many trails for the kids to explore. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Was a nice park. Pool was warm and refreshing. Site was nice sized (the one we had was). Wash rooms were very clean. Free Putt Putt was a plus. Down falls were, Sea Weed by raft in water (son was afraid to go out to it), tons a golf carts and lot of bugs. Trees behind our site had berries on them, and now our camper is covered in berry juice. Other then that it is a nice park, not a campground. No a camping feel at all. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Great park. Most of the campground was park model type campers with a few rental sites. This place has so much to offer a family, heated in-door swimming pool, free putt-putt and excellent lake with a swimming diving raft. My family had a good time at the campground hoe down. Live music and food, we had a great time. We will be going back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Very nice place to stay. Not really a camping atmosphere. More like being in an very nice Modular home resort. However, it is a great place to visit, and stay for a few days. The sites they do have for renters are fairly large with a fire pit and table. Very friendly people throughout the park. The beach and pool were very nice and clean, the lake did have a little seaweed. Me and my boys will be making this place a yearly trip, felt very safe. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This park is listed in Woodall's. What you don't realize from the web site or Woodall's listing is that it's 85-90% filled with mobile homes (park models). It's very nice and well kept, although some of the units are a little tired looking. We stayed for 4 nights. Residents are very nice, but this was not the type of camping experience we were expecting. All sites are back-in onto cement pads. Bath houses are very clean and conveniently located. You are guided to your site. Cable TV is available for a fee. All sites are full hookup. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed in the only 2 sites that were full hookup. The rest of the full hookups are for the seasonal folks. The location was at the entrance, busy but quiet compared to the activities that was going on near the lake. The rest of the sites seem to be ok, but looked too close for our liking, especially if you have a noisy neighbor. The facility was acceptable and the seasonal units were kept in good shape. The Wi-Fi was a definitely hit and miss kind of event, but the staff told you that when you checked in. It was a nice 4 days rest. We tried this place because of it's short distance to get here. Likely go back for weekend getaway. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a really nice park, quiet, lovely setting. Unfortunately the areas are all grassy and extremely uneven which made it difficult to level. Our tires were two feet off the ground in order to level. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an old campground with lots of seasonal trailers on it. Sites are very narrow and uneven. No paved roads or sites, just dirt and some grass. Stayed here with other campers and none of us will be back. Just a few miles east of here is a much nicer campground - bigger and cleaner. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I stayed here for a week during a work assignment. The rate I listed was based on the weekly rate of $228. The staff was very friendly. The laundry room was small and hot. The Wi-Fi signal was hit and miss at best. Verizon cell signal was almost non-existent. Although the park has full hookups, those are reserved for the seasonal sites only. The remainder of the sites were 30A only with no dumping. The park provides a tank emptying service for an additional $10 per event. If I were assigned to this area in the future, I would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Taylor's Beach Campground is our favorite place to camp and relax and have fun. We just started camping last year and had so much fun that we upgraded from a pop up to a travel trailer in just a few months. We also signed on to be Seasonal campers in 2010 we love TBC so much. TBC was always able to accommodate us and every time was wonderful. Its so safe and family friendly. I can let my kids go off and have fun and don't worry about them. TBC is dog friendly which is pleasant yet they have rules that all the campers abide by. The campground is spotlessly clean and the beach is a dream. You can always find kids having fun in the lake or couples at night watching the sun go down on the beach. My only wish is that I wish their campstore was better. Put in some more gifts, camping gear and food. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
All sites are grass, lots of trees, staff is very accommodating. Great beach with water toys. Laundry and small store. We showed up in a 40 foot MH and they simply could not accommodate us. It's an old camp with lots of mature trees and smaller sites. We would not come here again but only because of our size. It would be a terrific place to go with your kids, seems to be a lot of activities. I am sorry we could fit our rig in, we only stayed for 1 night in a cramped site for our 40 footer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
