Off season camping. Campground had mostly permanent campers around us. Internet was very bad and could not even connect to it. Verizon had good signals so that was our internet. Great place if your a hunter, if not you have to drive 20 miles to find something to do. Not sure yet if I will try them again in the camping season but I may. But for the off season I think their rates were very high. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this nice campground by chance, looking for a place to settle while enjoying all the activities this part if Michigan has to offer, especially the canoeing and kayaking. The campground owners are friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and can direct you to all you are looking for. We found the wine tours and the scenery at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The campground is very clean as well as the bathrooms and showers. We enjoyed a full hookup, but there are beautiful rustic sites available. Our favorite part was no highway noise, only the nightly "woods" sounds and the birds. Some sand is the only reason this isn't a ten. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice place with friendly people. The bugs were a little overwhelming but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Seems like a good place for younger campers or if you like a more rustic feel. I will probably be back next year to do some tubing down the Big Manistee! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here with a large group. Very nice office staff. CLEAN! restrooms & showers. Great little lodge with washer/dryer, fridge, DVD Player, Pool table & more. Playground was great for the kids, lots of activities (horseshoes, volleyball, disc golf etc...) 20 Minutes to beautiful Lake Michigan. Lots to do in the area, canoe, fish, swim, ATV, snowmobile or just enjoy the campground. They are open year round. The only reason I didn't give this a 10 is because the water hookup was at least 75' away from our camper, however, the staff offered to let us use some of their hoses. Also, the campground was very dusty (or muddy if it rained) not a lot of grass. Very nice overall, we will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
