Sherwood Campground is city owned campground. It is located between Lake Ore-be-gone and the Mesabi Recreational Trail. In addition, it is less that a mile from the Iron Range OHV Park. It has blacktopped interior roads and gravel or blacktopped pads. The park can accommodate any size rig. The grounds were well maintained. The bathrooms were adequate. There is free Wi-Fi. The OTA television reception was satisfactory. The office has spotty hours, but the camp host comes immediately if you need assistance. There were two negatives. First, there was very low voltage when using the air conditioner. Second, the water had some sand in it; so to be safe, use a filter. We will stay here again when we’re in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is a city owned park which is ran exceptionally well. Park rules and regulations are also in forced which facilitates campers having a positive camping experience. Campground hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Campground itself is very well maintained, clean and well kept. Sites are a mix of level gravel and paved pads while interior roads are equally sufficient for tents to big rigs. Will stay here again when we are in the area. Park is adjacent to Off Highway Vehicle park and is used buy OHV users mainly on weekends but are not a problem as I said before the park is ran well and rules are enforced. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant, quiet campground. Most sites level and spacious. Walk down the hill to the lake with a swimming beach. Easy walk to town to Koshar's (a variety of homemade sausages!), post office, restaurant, & liquor store at the end of town. Wi-Fi is intermittent. No laundry facilities. Host is accommodating and informative about the area. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Office was closed when we arrived and fortunately were greeted by one of the residents as the camp host wasn't here either. Un-level sites on gravel, they were pull-through - however, requested 50 amp, and none were available despite the park being relatively empty. Found out only sites along the outskirts of the park were 50 amp and the one next to us (that was a 50 amp site) had the camp host's pontoon boat parked in the spot. We did get compensated for taking the 30 amp site. Does have a picnic table and fire pit at each site. Not very well-run and probably more for ATV'ers as advertised. Was a good location to see the Iron Range and surrounding area. Wouldn't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
