We recently stayed here and found it to be very lovely. It must be under new management because the showers and bathrooms are very clean. The pavilion was neat and had laundry facilities. The managers were very nice and the office was in the main house but we found it to be helpful for our accommodations. Nothing was smelly or anything like that, and we are planning on coming back next year! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I've stayed in many campgrounds, but this one was the absolute worst. Descriptions of Forest Heights on various travel websites are so inaccurate as to be near lies. The restrooms were filthy and not stocked, the shower rooms were moldy and dirty, there was no "pavilion" or "lodge" as advertised. The "office" is the living room of the owners' home, which was strewn with debris, cat litter, and smelled of dirty diapers. The office is only open during the day (and they keep it locked unless you pound on the door) no emergency info was given, no maps of the site, etc. The tent camping area is unmarked--really just a flat gravel area, unsuitable for tents. Broken glass and cigarette butts were strewn everywhere, and broken water spigots made standing water a problem in the RV area because of the poorly maintained, pothole-filled roads in the campground. There were few lights in the campground, making it unsafe. All in all: horrible. I would never stay there again and I would never wish this campground on my worst enemy. We camped here in a Tent.
