I was greeted by a very pleasant and helpful woman at the park’s registration office. This 2,100+ acre park has a number of lakes – including the 206-acre Lake Elmo, and the slightly smaller Eagle Point Lake. It‘s hard to believe that this quiet, secluded camping area is less than 20 air miles from downtown Minneapolis and St Paul. It served as an excellent base for exploring of the twin cities region. Campsites are well spaced, with 30-amp power. However, there are no water or sewer connections. Verizon broadband connectivity was very good. Over-the-air TV reception is excellent with all the major networks available. In addition to the daily fee, one must purchase a park pass ($25). The pass allows access to a number of county parks for a one-year period. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a pretty nice park. There is a $5.00 per day entrance fee even though you are camped here. We are close to most everything including the Mall of America which is a must see. Stillwater is a unique little tourist area. If you are here long enough, it's worth strolling through. We will definitely camp here again. They do take reservations We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a county campground where a $5 per day or $25 per year sticker is required. The park is very convenient to downtown St. Paul (15 min) and all of the Twin Cities activities. Along with that the park has much to do in itself. It was the best campground we have been to in the 3 years that we have been camping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
