This is a small state park in southern MN. The "lake" is VERY small, really just a dammed
river. The swimming area was dirt with a little sand and a mucky bottom in the water. Having said that, the sites were nicely spaced and shaded. There is an area for people to bring in their horses and camp with them. We did have one nasty little problem with the rangers though. The park is near a friend's home and we went over to see a festival. The weather turned ugly and we zipped back to the CG to close up our popups. Unfortunately we chose a different car to drive over in than had been registered originally and the ranger insisted we had to pay the $7 entrance fee even though we were just there for a few minutes and had already paid over $150 for two sites. One of those times of following the rules a little too closely we felt. We argued and the manager eventually gave us our money back but it left a sour taste in our mouths. I'd only recommend it for an overnight stop on the way to somewhere else, not much to do in the area. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
