This is campground #1 on the Fort Ripley Military training camp. It is available to military personnel, active or retired. It is located right next to the Mississippi river and has lots of shade, but at this time has no hookups. Large concrete pads at each site and antenna tv reception is ok if you have a generator. Not a lot to see in the local area, but we stayed here for a visit to Minneapolis and St. Cloud. Looks like they were going to put in water and electric but ran out of money. They hope to finish it by 2010. Great campground if you don't need all the extras and quiet except for reveille at 0600. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Small little park in conjunction with a 7 unit motel. Very clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful. It is a little tight for big rigs. We stayed here in a 38ft fifth wheel. The rate was for Passport America. Wi-fi is very weak and unreliable. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
