We used to stay here quite often and I have to say that it's gone downhill. Our day started off getting yelled at by the manager because one of our campers wasn't parked straight! After that was fixed, we did our best to jockey the other campers into the cramped spots taking special care not to be out of alignment! The sites were very uneven and we had to use many blocks to be level. Our site on the lake was in between 2 other lake sites. Because of the way we had to park and the size of the sites, we couldn't back up our truck to leave until the camper next to us left. Also, because of the lot sizes, we had to park our vehicles at another location in the campground. We usually use our truck as extra storage, so this was a bit of an inconvenience. While here, we looked at a site that we used to stay at, and found that it has since been split into 2 sites! If you stay here, remember to bring your quarters so you can shower, and bring an extra buck or two to buy purple garbage bags, or you'll be forced to take your garbage home with you. One thing that really upset me is that one of the manager's seasonal campers doesn't apparently have to follow the rules of keeping his dog on a leash. One morning, while he was sitting on the deck with the managers, his dog went down and did it's business on the beach where the kids play. No consequences. Oh yeah, don't let your teenage kids be seen walking after 10pm. Ours were walking from one of our sites to another, and the cops were called on them. On a positive side, the officer was super nice and we ended up talking with him for a half hour about Northern Minnesota hockey! My advice, stay at the Point. Much nicer and less money! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
No sewer hook ups but they will pump your black & gray tank and NOT charge you. I've stayed here before and was a little disappointed the showers weren't cleaner this year, lots of dead mosquiotoes on the wall. Campground is owned & operated by the Breitung Twp. Usually on Friday afternnons they have special kid activities on their playgeound or beach. If reserving a specific site I'd send a confirmation letter or e-mail. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
