Signs and directions to get into this campground are very poorly done. The sign at the gas station verifies camping and when we went in they said we no longer own it. We finally ended up at a tavern and the man at the counter said his friend recently took it over and he needed do make some new signs and clean things up. When the manager showed up he took us to an all grass site where water had been shut off and said our levelers would need support under them because of the soft grass. We did that in a fairly unlevel site. It was quiet since we were the only non-permanent people there. They claim 50 some sites there but I sure didn't see anywhere near that many. Access to many near lakes was a high point. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is in a very nice country setting not far from 4 beautiful lakes and the quaint little town of Vergas MN. Sites are well spaced and easy to get in and out of. Owner is very accommodating. There is a little pub on the property that is a gathering place for the friendly locals and visitors. Campsite is adjacent to beautiful farm fields with lots of room to roam and wonder... Very Quiet! Peaceful and serene setting. Spent the evening listening to the Loons and later watching the stars from a very pleasant campground not polluted by a bunch of mercury vapor street lights. About one long block from the local gas station / convenience store. We camped here in a Motorhome.
