I chose this park because of the previous rating posted here. This park was less than desirable. Beautiful near the office/store but the grounds were not very scenic; creek gravel on the site (took quite awhile to level the trailer due to it sinking into the ground), in need of mowing, and lots of scrub trees that could have been cut back to view the river. With that said, the worst of it was that we were next to a group of rowdy, drunks that liked urinating on the tree outside my window (saw 3 different men, on 3 different occasions). They made sure we were informed "that we won't be able to sleep". Forget about a campsite host; after 6pm the office was closed, and everyone was gone for the night. Overall, it was very pricey for what you get for your money, which was a lot of mud. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
You will not find this RV park in Woodalls or Trailer Life. In fact, when we checked we were told the only advertising they do are the bill boards on Interstate 44 and word of mouth. Located 7 miles south of Bourbon, Missouri on Highway N, this is a beautiful rolling RV ranch. Activities include canoeing, rafting or tubing down the Meramec river. Or, if floating isn't your passion, they also offer horse back rides. The park is huge; covering many, many acres. Primitive sites, right on the river to log cabin rentals. The RV sites don't have a lot of real estate between you and the next camper, but we found that to be ok. If you like to fish, the parks offers the Meramec River or the Missouri Conservation Department, Blue Springs Creek runs along side the park. I spotted several nice size trout etc. Nestled in a valley, this is a very beautiful park setting. We camped here in a Motorhome.
