This is a small park with very friendly owners. Not a lot of ammenties but we usually do not care. Nice grassy pull thru area. This park suffered from a tornado a few years ago and they are slowly getting it going again. Worth the stop because it is $10. if you have passport america. We would stop here again if we ever come through here in the future. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Having rated this CG a 4 (almost a 3), it may sound strange to hear that we would stay again, but we definitely would. The owner was the nicest guy you could ever meet, but he just doesn't have the eye for necessary improvements that would make his CG more attractive to campers. For example, the lack of trees and landscaping make it appear from the road that the CG may be closed. The roadside sign was extremely weathered. The coke machine in front of the laundry/restrooms was unplugged. The restrooms were clean, but sparse and unused (cobwebs and dust). There were no picnic tables or fire rings. No one was at the CG or residence when we arrived and the phone went directly to the answering machine. We tried the utilities and found them turned on, so we went ahead and parked, hooked up, and threw $10 into the box at the entrance. In essence, we camped alone in a large field where we could let the animals roam and enjoyed the stars. The owner joined us in the evening for a nice 3-hour chat. For the $10 PA price it was a good, peaceful night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
For the price, this is a great place to stay! The CG is grassy field with utility hook-ups; a very basic place to stay but we loved it. There were only two other families here so we could sit outside and enjoy the view of the countryside; lots of birds singing, butterflies, flowers, and dragonflies. You are just want somewhere quiet and don't need a pool, etc, this is a great place. Owners are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stop here next time we are in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Passport America rate. This is a small, family run campground. They have fairly level grass sites. This park was leveled by a tornado two years ago and they are slowly rebuilding it back to what it was. Management was very helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.
