This is one of our favorite little campgrounds. It's not for everyone, but if you like to cycle and like to be on the water away from the crowds, this is the place to be. It's a small campground right on the Katy Trail (Missouri's longest rail/trails - perfectly flat, pea-gravel cycling, running, jogging, walking). It is located 7 miles from the historic town of Rocheport, MO, where there is a lovely winery, bakery, wonderful little charming restaurants. The campsites don't currently have sewer, but they are adding them this year. They are also adding a dump station. They have lots of tent camping also. There is boat launch for the Missouri River. The RV sites back right up to the Missouri River and it is simply lovely with some of the most beautiful sunsets ever. The sites are gravel and grass and not always the most level, but not too bad. Fire pits and tables at all sites. Off the beaten path but also only a 20 minute drive into Columbia. You can also bike to Columbia on the Katy Trail spur - about 12 miles one way. The folks that run it couldn't be nicer and will even go into town to get items that they don't stock in their little trailside store. Again, it's not for big rigs or folks that want lots of amenities - but it is clean, charming, beautiful and only 2 hours east of Kansas City on I-70 - just fifteen minutes off the interstate. I love this place! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
