We travel during the night and sleep/rest during the day and our hosts at this campground were very accommodating - even leading us to our site after midnight! Now that is service. If we had to give this park a one word description it would be: Peace. We enjoyed sitting by the pond watching the bullfrogs hunt, a small snake slither by, robins and black birds singing and twittering about - all accompanied by a gentle breeze. The pool was pristine and we wish we could have spent some time there. Our hosts allowed us to pick fresh apricots and choke cherries for a marvelous mid afternoon snack. We would highly recommend this campground for an extended visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Except-able overnight "if your tired & have to stop". Easy on off freeway. The interior roads are narrow , dusty with a dirt gravel mix base. There are a lot of overgrown tree's & bushes making for hard maneuvering . There is also a lot of rusted out old dumped disused vehicles, trailers, campers & trucks in this RV park. Water is hard. Electricity WEAK 50 amp . The office building is unfinished. The laundry facility is open to the public, as well as the swimming pool. Overall this RV park needs a lot of TLC. Owners are friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't let the junky entrance to this campground scare you away. It is a lovely small campground with plenty of trees. Roads and sites are gravel which were in good condition in spite of recent heavy rains. There is a playground and two fishing ponds - no license needed. Sites were long pull-throughs. My site was almost perfectly level and I did not need to unhitch for my overnight stay. The free Wi-Fi was very fast. Restrooms were clean and attractive, but not fancy. The showers were small and cramped. Freeway noise was significant during the day, but diminished considerably after 10PM. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The sites are fairly level and the hookups are in good order. The grounds are kept mowed. I didn't have any trouble maneuvering around the park in my 34' trailer. There are a lot of construction materials piled around the place and a few old campers that appeared to be stored on the location. There are enough trees to make you feel like you aren't in the middle of farmland. The laundromat is open to the public so it contains lots of washers and dryers. The owners are smokers so the store and the restrooms have the lingering odor of smoke. There is a playground. I would stay here if I was going to be doing something nearby. The park is full during Octoberfest in Hermann. You would need to make reservations if you plan to stay here then. The restrooms are kept clean, but have some tile missing from the walls. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

70 miles west of St. Louis and convenient to Interstate I-70. There's a good bit of interstate noise, and a couple of trains overnight. O.K. for an overnight. Somewhat shabby and overpriced for what it is. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We did stay here. We looked around at the entrance and saw it was trashy. We asked to turn around to the main road, that was a mistake. The campground roads were tight and over grown trees and bushes. At one curve we rubbed against the stumps being used as barriers. Maybe a 30 foot Motor Home would be the maximum size that would fit. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park was nice, with 2 nice fishing ponds and lots of ducks. Enjoyed feeding ducks. Nicely kept, management extremely friendly and took to site. Very quiet. Conveniently located to major interstate. Would have stayed longer if not passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Older campground with many mature trees, two large ponds and lots of recreation on site. The sites are close with large trees which makes it difficult to place a large rig on the gravel and grass sites to deploy slides. The road into the campsites is very overgrown and we rubbed several large tree limbs on the way into our site. The road is very narrow and the turns are tight for a rig larger than 36 feet or so. We nearly hit a tree just getting out of our site the next morning since the pull through site required a sharp right turn followed by a sharp left turn in a very heavily forested area. Smaller rigs would be OK but need to be careful in some spots. The ponds are large and have many ducks. There is a pier on one of the ponds and you can fish there without a license. I would have rated it higher except for the lack of honesty about being able to handle large rigs. We were by far the largest in the campground and will no be going back there as I lost a good bit of paint on the sides and roof due to the tight quarters. I talked with them about the size of rig we had before I made the reservation and they said the campground could easily handle our size rig. I would not have stayed there had I known the campground was so tight. We camped here in a Motorhome.
