We so wanted to give this place high marks. Has great owners, who strive to please but there is a long dirty, hilly road to get to the campground; permanent dilapidated RVs that are behind the office. The bathrooms are basic. Not the place to bring your new motor coach, more a place for families with kids. The four sites by the lake are ok, pretty view. The owners need to get rid of the permanent RVs, only then will they get more customers. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park is in a beautiful setting. The people are very friendly and helpful. Laundry and restrooms are spotless. We were apprehensive when we saw the road leading into the park. We should have stopped there. Don't get me wrong. The park was great. It's the road that needs work. Remember, what goes down must come up. That's where our trouble was. We tow with a 2008 Silverado 1500 2wd and got to within 200 feet of the top of the hill and had to be towed the rest of the way. The closest tow company was 30-45 minutes away. Backing up did not work either. I'm not a newbie. I have over a million miles behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. The wheels started slipping on the gravel and there was nothing left to do but sit and wait for the tow truck. Thank God for On Star. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is more like a low budget camping resort than a RV park. Most of the sites have permanent RVs parked and the it appears that short timers are used as fill ins on less desirable spaces. There is a steep gravel road to reach the park and you need to be sure that your vehicle is sized correctly. Bath houses are very clean. We would not stay here again as an overnight location due to the difficulty of the entrance road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful oasis in a sea of tourist activities around the Lake of the Ozarks. It is a Coast to Coast affiliated park and we would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our stay was absolutely outstanding. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already planned our next trip back. While the road to the park is gravel and there is a hill, this is what is expected in the Ozarks. So no shock: just slowed down as we were instructed to do when we made our reservation. The hosts are absolutely the best. We were treated like old friends as soon as we pulled up. The front porch was full of people just sitting and chatting. If felt very homey and welcoming, as you would expect in the Ozarks. The restrooms and shower building were so clean and cared for that it was a topic of conversation while showering with the other guests. The scenery and the little lake were so beautiful and while we didn't catch a fish it was fun and relaxing trying. We were lucky to be here during their annual Winter Texan Shindig celebration. The country and gospel jam sessions were so entertaining and fun. The campground hosted a hog/turkey roast potluck and the food, fellowship, and entertainment was great. We hated to leave so much we actually had to give hugs to the workers for making us feel so welcome. So if you are looking for a country life, laid back atmosphere, and an all around down home feeling: this is the park for you. It was well worth the drive down that gravel road and I can't wait to travel that trail again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was great. The staff was very polite. There are many things to do here: fish, swim, paddleboat, shuffleboard, and even mini-golf. It is a great place for kids. There's a big hill one must go down to get here, but we made it fine. The lake was beautiful. We will definitely be returning and have highly recommended this place to friends. To get to this campground, you travel down a horrible gravel road with large rocks for a mile. The cars driving up the hill to get out have to keep their speed up otherwise they will just spin their tires. The staff are very friendly and helpful with anything you need. We did run into problems our last full day at the campground. My husband complained about other campers walking through our site. We have 4 girls and when adult men walk through the middle of your site drinking and carrying their grill to their friends across the road, I have a problem. We didn't have people walk through once but several times. I guess the problem really came when one of them was the daughter of one of the staff members. It rained our last evening and the girls were playing in our site with water right after it rained. They went into the restroom at some point and came back to our site. Next thing we know, one of the staff members came over asking about all the mud in the restroom. I went in there to see what he was talking about and it was a "normal" amount of mud and grass. I actually had more in my camper from one coming in than what was in the restroom. I have a feeling we are were being nit picked because one of the people walking through was his daughter. This is a decent campground but we will probably not return. They do have scheduled activities, pool, miniature golf, shuffleboard, etc but quiet time does not start until 11PM and ends at 7AM. There are 4-wheelers that run constantly during that time and there is music playing right up until the minute quiet time starts. We were right across from the office and the pavilion is right next to us making this site very noisy. We do not drink or party so maybe this is just our problem. There is some kind of wireless but you have to get the code from the office. It is by satellite so it runs very slow. The sites are really close together and there are several family members that seem to live here. Restrooms are clean and the laundry room is clean as well. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I'm still trying to figure out why Trailer Life gave Cross Creek such a high rating. Your introduction to the facility is via a rough mile-long gravel road that descends alarmingly upon entering and ascends challengingly upon exiting (our transmission fluid overheated so a red light came on on the dash board). When we reached the RV park we stopped to look for a sign for the office. When we found it we started up a hill only to find our one-ton truck would not make it up the steep hill so we backed down and parked so we could walk up to the office. Most of the 60-plus sites are up there but fortunately there was room in one of the four back-in sites below. After much hassle backing into the spot, which was nice and wide though didn't have a lot of maneuvering room, we had a nice perch with a view of the small lake. We eventually went to the sites up the hill and found them to be mostly tight backins, not particularly attractive or comfortable-looking. There is a lot of activity stuff available-- boats for the lake, fishing, a decent swimming pool, shuffleboard and the like. Fortunately they accept Passport America and Campclub USA so two of the three nights were $14.50 and the third was $29. As we were leaving I found myself wondering why they even bothered putting an RV park there in the first place. Not the worst place we've been to, but certainly among the also-rans. It's a bit steep getting to your campsite, but the sites are terraced and we didn't have any trouble getting leveled. The staff here are among the most pleasant people we've experienced. Sitting on the porch to use the modem hookup was actually a plus -- getting to talk to other campers was very enjoyable. This is a beautiful place with tons of trees and therefore lots of shade. The pool was very nice with a fabulous view. We spent a full week here and would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want to risk your RV or trailer driving down the steep dirt road to this place you will find a run down campground with a tiny tiny pond and lots of run down campers crowded into a steep gravel hill. I left and camped somewhere else giving up my money just to get out of here. Felt dirty and nothing at all like the website photos. Not for anyone with a nice rig or camper. This is the park we drove to from Va. to pick up our camper that we bought off the intermet. I cannot tell you how friendly the staff was and helpful, why we had a private mechanic on call! We only spent two night here but we would go back. There is a good cafe here and all you need to really relax. I heard that they may have had some storm damage. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used our "Happy Camper" discount of 50% off for this price. After all the problems, breakdowns and weather not cooperating it was really nice to finally be on the road again and making good time. We drove a little off the beaten track to get to this campground and if we had been planning to stay a few days this would be the place to do it at. Because the season was just about over the work campers were already gone so one of the owners was attending to the store. During season this park has to be filled up every weekend because of the beauty, many activities available and the friendliness of the people. The bathrooms were spotless and the best design I have seen this far in the shower area. There was ample room in both the changing area and the drop down shower area, nothing got wet except what was intended. They have one special campsite that is a glorified tent site, having water and electricity and is located on your own private island and up until just a short time ago was only accessible by a row boat but they have since built a bridge to it. They also have cabin rentals but most of the available campsites were not very level and getting to them was a steep climb but otherwise everything was marvelous. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice trees, friendly staff, lots of activities for a family. There were quite a number of full time or seasonal residents. Overall a great park. The reason I didn't give them a 10 is that my site wasn't level, which is a pet peeve of mine. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground, stayed in site #11 which was quick 30 second walk to pool, store, game room and laundry. Most impressed with service. Tons of information about area activities and valid advice from office staff. Kudos to the two guys who escorted us in and helped us level the trailer to perfection (they brought some wood, levels et all)! Guests there were 50 / 50 mix of seasonal and daily rentals. Our site had great shade and dispite being in front of the property, we didn't hear any road traffic as the road was nearly 75 yeards away. Took our two younger daughters there and felt very safe- kid's couldn't get enough of the swimming or exploring around the campground. Pool has chairs, shade umbrellas, lounges and good size area for kids with floaties learning to swim. Clean tasting potable water, sewer lines lower than site, uninterrupted power and 90+ channels of cable. I know I sound like a commercial, but we're looking for a site here in MO to come back to and think we found it. We'll be back... thanks Majestic Oaks! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Love it here! It's clean and every site is shaded. Plenty of walking trails for dogs and the owners and staff are really friendly. We have family here so stay for at least two months every year. Also a great park for family activities in addition to all the shopping, golf, fishing and boating, and restaurants in a half to an hour and a half away. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Wonderful RV Park. Close to town and very clean and well maintained. RV Park has an excellent swimming pool. We stayed in a camping cabin instead of our tent due to pending thunderstorms. The cabin was GREAT!! Was air conditioned, with cable TV, close to restrooms and had lots of room. The camp hosts were a delight!! Was a great park for family. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-day stay in this meticulously maintained park in the oak forest above Lake of the Ozark. The owners have completed significant work in improving the facility; 50amp sites are huge gravel pull-throughs with a picnic table. Although the WiFi reception was spotty from our location, the CATV was exceptionally clear, important since the heavy tree cover prevents satellite reception. The park has nature trails through the woods, a pool, game lounge, and outdoor playground. Throughout the park seasonal campers have placed bird feeders and we watched hummingbirds and bluebirds from our site. Although there are some seasonals, their sites were very well maintained. All in all, this is a perfect destination for the area; quiet, peaceful, and extremely well maintained. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Yes this CG has many seasonal campers. They week end from where ever. It is situated in the oak trees that make up all of the lake Ozark area. While grass doesn't grow much in the back of the camp, they have graveled the entire area and there was no mud even in the rain. Our rate reflects the Good Sam discount that was happily applied. The sites are too close together and the sewers do extend above ground more than I have seen elsewhere. They escorted us to our site and provided wood to help us level out. We had cable TV and it worked well. We did have a fire ring and wood was for sale. The bath houses are old but were clean and serviceable. During the summer months you will need a reservation as they will fill up. The pool looked to be clean and the kids next to us were having a good time of it. The sites along the road are for tenters and late arrivals and do suffer from the road noise from the highway. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were back off the highway so it was very quiet. Unfortunately there is not one blade of grass anywhere, in this section anyway. Sites were level, each with picnic table and fire ring. Restrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained. Very nice family runs this place. WiFi costs $1 for one day, not sure about rates for longer stays. Nice walking trails. Did not check out all the private campgrounds in the area, but Lake of the Ozarks State Park is worth a look as an alternative - electric only. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were disappointed with this park. Our site was located next to an extremely busy highway. It was not level and had no trees or grass. We specifically asked if there were fire rings available before leaving and was told that there were at each site. After being guided to our site and seeing no fire rings, we were told that we should just make our own with some rocks. The noise and lights from the highway made sleeping difficult at best. They do have a portion of the campground that extends into the woods (perhaps this is where the Majestic Oaks were located because they certainly weren't at our site). Those sites are nicer but very close together and several appear to be permanent. We didn't use the shower house or restrooms much but they appeared clean. The dump station drain is too high for proper dumping (higher then the trailer sewer outlet). While the staff was very pleasant upon check-in and they did provide an escort to your site and even help with leveling - we were overall very dis-satisfied with this park and the conditions of our site. We've camped from many years and would have to say this was the worst. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very clean with a nice pool. The people who run the park are very nice. This park was pretty much off of the beaten track and coming in at twilight it was a little difficult to find. The owners called and checked in with us on the day we were to arrive to give us more complete directions. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

WOW! First stay here! The showers were the cleanest I have ever seen. The campground is well maintained. They made sure I was well taken care of during my setup and asked several times if I needed anything. Their attention to detail shows throughout the park. There are pet walking trails and nature trails right in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We purchased our first camper several years ago. On our first time out, we camped at Majestic Oaks. We had no idea what we were doing. Upon arrival, the host showed us to our camp site, he helped us back in and get level, it was a piece of cake with his help and we never got out of the truck! We have camped at this facility ever since. The host and hostess are the nicest, most helpful people you would ever want to know! They go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. We just came back from Majestic Oaks this weekend and nothing has changed! Everything is just as nice as the first time we visited. Our children enjoy this campground as much as we do. We love the location and all the fun things there is to do in the area. There is no doubt that this couple love their campground and it shows, everything is well kept and extremely CLEAN! This campground is EXCELLENT!!! Take time to visit Majestic Oaks Park when you are in Lake Ozark, you will love it as much as we do!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners here are a couple of the nicest people you will meet. They take the time to get to know the campers: starting with leading to your site and assisting with the set-up. Missing something? Just ask and they will help you. This was our very first RV'ing experience and they made it easy. Clean rest rooms, and beautiful Oak shade trees. We loved it. It is not new, but it is extremely well maintained by the owners. It's worth the trip. We camped here in a Motorhome.

When we arrived the owner came up and took us directly to our site, didn't even get the truck out of gear. He pulled two boards from the golfcart and helped me back in and the boards were exactly what we needed to be level. Park was beautiful and quiet. Kids were safe there due to owners watching who came in and out. Mirror tag for car was not issued and was not needed, they knew which vehicles belonged there. Pool was 21 years old and looked at least 1/2 that. Highly recommend this park and when we get back to the area, we will stay here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice, clean park. We will definitely be back to stay here. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They are waiting for your arrival and escort you to your site. They even helped back in the trailer. The park is shady and well kept. The bathhouses and bathrooms show an extra nice touch with the decorations. At night the owners spray the area for mosquitos, which is nice when you are close to the water. Good Sams discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park, a bit tricky to get into at first, though. The spots are a little too close together and the gravel needs to be smoothed out. However, this is a great place to stay! Very close to Osage Beach, which has great shopping and restaurants. There are riverside sites and they even have their own pier with fish cleaning facilities when campers bring their boats back to their RVs. I noticed a tent area with 7 sites at the back of the park, but I haven't driven down to look at it. They allow catfish fishing in the pond on the site as well. We are here now, our second visit and we will be back again, I am sure. We camped here in a Motorhome.
