Very clean and quiet park. The roads are narrow and the trees are close if you have a big or long rig. Very peaceful place. Nice people. It was about 6 miles off the Interstate. You need to follow the directions on the website closely. We did a fair amount of GeoCaching in the area. Got to see a lot of the Missouri River. Going South back into Boonville is a speed trap. Coming off the bridge, the speed limit goes from 50 to 20. All the local traffic knows about this and slows down coming off the bridge. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A very nice CG away from all road noises! Nice owners, very peaceful, a good quiet night's sleep! If you want a serene experience and not a bunch of amenities, you will enjoy this. We will return and will recommend to others We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a great little find, especially if you are biking on the Katy Trail (www.bikekatytrail.com). Only 3 miles from the casino in Boonville. We've been to this park a couple of times and enjoy it for something different. If you're looking for top-of-the-line RV park experience, this is NOT it. This is what I'd call a do-it-yourself campground. The owners are available if needed, but they both work full time and the office is not staffed all day - in fact, self check-in is the norm. It also has a wonderful display of railroad memorabilia, since this used to be the MKT railroad train yards for the area. The old round table is still there, though somewhat overgrown. We camp here, then ride the bike trail several miles up- and down- stream to wonderful Missouri River valley views. The campground is very quiet, last time there the coyotes they were a howling'!! We will return a couple of times a year. For those traveling through, it's worth the 5 or 6 miles off I-70 you have to go to get there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
