We arrived after hours and found a note on the door directing us to our assigned spot. When we pulled in to the site we found that the power had been severed to the site and was under repair. So we chose another spot. Sites were level and clean. There was no cable available and a poor Wi-Fi signal. We stayed here as an overnight stop. The park serves well for this purpose, but would not be satisfactory for anything longer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park. They have obviously put a lot of work into this campground. Even though it is near the interstate, you can't see it through the trees. With the A/C on the traffic sounds were negligible. The pool was warm and inviting, and the playground was very nice--there is a small basketball court for older kids, swings and a play set with deep pea gravel under them (for safety). We passed several other campgrounds in favor of this one. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Sites were way to close together, even for KOA. Concrete slab for camper's back wheels to go on but it was cracked and not level. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The park is next to the freeway and train. So it was very noisy. The sites are not level. The parks overall appearance was okay. The sites were full of cigarette budds, which we found offensive. The staff was generally nice. The overall looks of the park needs improving. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Park is next to freeway and truckstop so you hear jake brakes all night along with the train. Most of the staff are nice a few are devout parking guards and not very nice, they did a lot of yelling at visitors trying to park. It would have been a lot easier to have been courtious since most of them didn't know ALL the parking rules or the people they were visiting didn't have time to explain to them. Probably will not stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This membership park also is a Coast to Coast park. It is very large and spread out with back in and pull thru sites. The roads and almost all sites are gravel and dusty. The term level does not apply here, bring plenty of boards to level your rig. The park is really showing its age and not in good repair. The staff is friendly and helpful. This park is about 7 miles outside of town and not far off of I-70. For a place to stay while visiting the area, it works, as a destination park, it isn't. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a C2C membership campground. It is really pretty being right on the lake. Sites near the lake don't have many trees. There are lots of rustic sites up the hill and in the woods. Most sites are gravel/dirt and are not very level. It is out in the boondocks, so is not an overnight park. It is about 50 miles from Kansas City. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a membership only campground. For around $325 per year you receive 30 days of camping, full hookups. The pool is the true draw for the campground. As a member-only campground you have a very tight-nit community. Activities around
major summer holidays are always a draw but we have never had a problem finding a very nice site. There are four fishing lakes. The main lake also has row boats and paddle boats for rent. The game room provides a nice alternative for children if the weather turns. There is also the restaurant and the playground. Family reunions, company functions, church services, etc... can be enjoyed under the tremendous shelter house. The true charm comes from the friendly staff. If you live in the Kansas City area and are tired of never finding a prime waterfront spot, Lake Paradise is ideal. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
