This is one of the nicest and friendliest KOA’s we ever stayed at. Has a wonderful host and he is a very good guy. He and his 1 helper do it all, and they do it right. The campground is very well kept and the bathrooms and showers are always very clean. We have stayed here several times, and do so anytime we are anywhere near this part of Montana. We love this KOA and you will too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The Campground has long and wide sites, some as long as 110 feet. Our gravel site (#27) was on the end of the row, under a tree, and had a large, lush grassy area with a picnic table. It is very quite here, no trains, etc. The bathrooms and laundry are immaculate, the store is well stocked and the owners are very friendly. They have lots of bicycles that you can use for free. No cable and we had no TV reception with our antenna. Located 10 miles east of Virginia City on the outskirts of Alder. Alder has restaurants without tourist prices. Diesel available in Alder. Not far from Ruby Reservoir, a place where people pan for gold and especially Garnets. Our Verizon phone and Internet had full bars. A very nice place to stay. I would give it a higher rating, but we had no cable or pool. We would stay here anytime we are in the area. $34.00 rate was with KOA card. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
