We had a great time at this unique RV park and would be happy to visit again. We were granted a Good Sam discount and our 40' RV was assigned a fairly level gravel site which backed onto a lovely creek. There was plenty of space for our tow car and outdoor chairs. A picnic table was provided. Pull-thru sites are available, but are not as nice as the creek-side spots. A short walk up the hill from the RV park is the Merry Widow health mine. Gold, silver, zinc and uranium were previously mined at this location, but now it (along with several other mines in the area) is known as a "health mine" where folks come to take a series of hour-long treatments. There seems to be a rather dedicated clientele, with many yearly repeat customers camping and taking treatments. We were allowed a free walk-through of the mine, and noted a monthly state check of the mine water quality was in progress. A highlight of our visit here was the weekly Wednesday night potluck, where we shared in a delicious feast and met some of the fascinating people drawn to this area. A nearby gravel road which passed through some national forest service land proved great for jogging. A piano and other amenities were provided in the large recreation hall (where the potluck dinner was held). Guests are also reportedly welcome to use the cooking facilities here. Internet service was included with our site rental, and worked quite well in conjunction with an external antenna. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We parked nose in, right on the Boulder River – most beautiful site we’ve ever been in! Very friendly and helpful staff, level site, full hookups with 50 amps. Best kept secret in the West! We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful little campground along the river. The pull thru spots are not on the river but more than half the other was. We had a electric only right next to it and listened to the babbling brook continuously. It is pretty much bare bones but there is a great deal of trees along the river side and they do a Wednesday potluck that is well attended. Everyone is very friendly and we have enjoyed all our stays. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
