Just on the edge of Choteau. It is handy to Glacier and other nearby attractions. No shade, just gravel lanes with hook-ups. Nice park and walking path in town just a few blocks away. There is a golf course just over the hill from the RV park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One year after the last review nothing has changed except the place may be a bit more run down. Again, we were fleeing from a bad park near Helena, and my GPS identified this as a KOA, and the phone number still worked. We were told to take any spot we wanted, so we joined the 2 other rigs in the hook up area. Actually, for an emergency overnight, it worked, but I won't be back. The town is very nice, and the small golf course which calls itself a Country Club (public accepted) was pretty nice. The price was $34.25 if we paid cash, $39.25 if we used a credit card. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
An old KOA that is run down. We ended up here late in the day after a delay in Helena. Whoever designed this place did not know what they were doing. Sites, full hookup, are in a "row" not in a line, so if they did get somewhat crowded you would be trapped till the people in front of you left. Town is nice, and the Museum is great. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
In Choteau, east of the grain elevator is a picnic area. East of that across the creek is a small camping area next to the rodeo grounds. You can't beat $8 a night and its a nice quiet location next to a nice park. There is a walking path along the creek. We camped here in a Motorhome.
