Beautiful campsites on Georgetown Lake. We loved the serenity, wildlife and the remoteness. Our only complaint is the number of "special dogs," the ones who don't have to be on a leash even though there is a sign that clearly states that all dogs should be on a leash. Noise from other campers was also a problem. If you come here, come when kids are in school. We will come back here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very beautiful on shores of Georgetown Lake with boating access, swimming and lots of wildlife. Host keeps clean vault toilets and there is plenty of free firewood from the thinning of the forest due to pine beetles. Still left plenty of shade. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a no frills park on the outskirts of Phillipsburg. We selected this campground for its convenience to the gem stores and mine. The owner was quite nice and friendly. This is not a park I would select for a long term stay, but for an overnighter, it was okay. There is full hookup, but no shade. We were in site one which was right off the highway and somewhat noisy. The folks in town were very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We found this campground in the Philipsburg Paper of "things to do in Philipsburg". The small paper was part of the visitor information in the Montana Welcome Center. This is a very small, no frills campground and Inn/Motel. We found it quite adequate for our 2 day stay in the area. Not sure but do not think there are but a few 50 amp sites. You would have to call for a reservation is you wanted 50amp. Many campers were turned away because of the limited space. We were concerned about 2 large dogs penned because they were barking when we arrived; however there was no excessive barking during the day and none at night. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
