Very nice, quiet city campground inside a city park. The road is paved. The sites are large, long, angled, full hook ups, level and concrete. Many have shade. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. Verizon service strong. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

For a city park, this is a great campground. As stated by others, the sites are spacious and layer out much like a commercial RV park, but with more space. Interior roads are now paved! Sites are mostly level concrete pads with water, sewer, and 20/30/50 amp power at all sites - a few are pull-thru. The only issue is the showers. The showers they keep locked (host has the key) to keep kids out but they are still buggy. The park has a nice Frisbee golf course, duck pond, neat old bandstand, and award winning tree. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice city campground. The other reviewers have it right. At the other end of the bike/walking path, (about 3 miles) and on the west side of town in Riverdale park, it looks like they will have another 8 sites. They look like they are all ready to go except for getting some grass growing. I would expect they will probably be open next spring/summer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was interesting to get to. It was in a city park along a small river in the back of a residential area so the roads were not very wide. The street to the park was marked with the standard blue camp sign on the main road but after that there wasn’t any additional signage. The interior roads were paved and the sites were concrete. The roads were a little bit narrow but there was sufficient area to unhook the towed vehicle. There were only 8 sites one of which was used by the host so only 7 site for use. No pull throughs so only back-ins. The sites were long enough for larger RVs. The sites were generally level. Not much privacy between the sites but there was sufficient space between them. There was a 30 day maximum stay limit. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50 AMP), and sewer connections. The connections were located about in the middle of the parking pad. The sewer connection was lower than the parking pad surface. No outside table or other amenities like Wi-Fi. There were a lot of trees so only a few of the sites had a view of the southern sky to get satellite reception. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot and cell phone had good reception. No designated pet area. There weren’t bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste. There were nice concrete walking paths throughout the park. Believe the path went through the connected park system. There was also a fenced dog park in town. It wasn’t close so you needed to drive there. We didn’t use the restrooms/shower. There was only one shower but it was difficult to find as it wasn’t marked. But it was in the same building with the restrooms. There were a few negatives. First was the non-traditional host. The host was a young couple with two toddlers. They were living in a pop up tent trailer without sewer. They were draining their kitchen sink grey water onto the ground even though there was a sewer fitting right near where their drain hose was located but their drain hose didn’t reach the connection. The male worked at Walmart so he wasn’t there during the day and the female seemed to get picked up to go somewhere during the day. They seemed to be developing their parenting skills as there was a lot of yelling at the children and not very attentive to them as one kept leaving their campsite and trying to go into nearby RV’s. There were only small garbage collection receptacles scattered around the park side that didn’t seem suitable for a campground. They only accepted cash in the self register pay station. Don’t believe they accepted reservations as it seemed to be first come-first served. And finally, the park had a lighting system on the basketball court so people were using the courts late into the night (about 10:30 to 11:00 PM). The quiet time (after 10:00 PM) didn’t seem to apply to the park recreational facilities only the camp area. But this was a nice oasis in a sparely populated area. There weren’t a lot of other acceptable choices. We would stay here again over the other City owned campground (Chautauqua Park) if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. Unfortunately, no dump. We filled our tanks from campground water tap. Sites were very level, gravel, campground looks new, not worn out. Friendly greeting from Campground host, very nice lake for canoe/kayak. Heard wild Turkeys most of the evening. Electric hook up worked fine. If you have Nebraska Park sticker, cost would only be $15. $4 entry otherwise additional. Shade trees are pretty young, will be a while before they shade your camping. We will mark this as a favorite stop when driving on US 34. You can get within 75 ft of shore on lake, but not right on lake. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
