This town was devastated by a tornado spring of 2014 and has come back amazingly. The campground now has 50 amp service but the pool and tennis court are currently closed. We did not use the restrooms but they are functional and were cleaned the morning we were there. The grounds and each site are on well maintained grass. Even though there was a lot of rain during the night, the sites were high enough to stay dry. We would recommend staying here as a great overnight spot. Payments are by donation - they need it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground is several miles south of I-80 with camping signs directing you to the park. It's a field outside the fence of the city baseball diamond with electrical posts scattered around the parameter. 8 have 30 amp connections. All grass, pretty level. Not sure how good it would be with a big rig after heavy rain but we had no issues with our 43' toy hauler after a day of drizzle. We stayed 2 nights and left a donation in the box. We would stay here again even though the local businesses seem to be closing down. We were the only ones in the park on the weekend we were there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great little clean safe no cost campground for an overnight rest. Located in the town park with swimming pool, playground, WWII tank, and ball field. No sewer at site or RV Dump in park and only 1 water tap. Poor cell coverage. Friendly little town with a well stocked hardware store. Donation box at the exit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
