Your basic overnight stop for self-contained rigs - no showers or restrooms. Sites are back-in, on dirt between shade trees behind the cafe. Most are 30A. Site #5 has 50A and has the best tree clearance for larger rigs. Check in at the motel desk after parking. Owner is friendly. Has some road noise, and fairly frequent coal trains pass by on the south side of the highway. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Even though this only cost $18, it was not worth it. There are not restrooms or any facilities for campers to use. There were no restrooms available in the motel for the campers either. To use the Wi-Fi, you much sit in the lobby of the motel because it is too far from the campsites. There was no cable TV either. When I asked they informed me they used to have it but disconnected it. Would not recommend this to anyone. The desk clerk wasn't all that thrilled to wait on us either. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here during our recent participation in BRAN 2010 and found this park to be very resonable as compared to many others. The hotel has a laundry area, hot tub and breakfast available to those staying in the camping area. Despite the recent rains, the campgrounds were not muddy except for the approach on the west side, but we were able to get in on the east side of the area. I would recommend this site even though it is about a mile out of Thedford. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Just what we needed, a place to park for the night. Site area clean, level and easy to get into. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Passport America rate listed. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The park is very basic. Our intent was to make this an overnight stop. The people in this whole town (243) were so friendly we stayed 4 days. The restaurant next store, Stubbs Grill is excellent and the owner Cory is right there all day. We enjoyed this location and would return. The park is very limited but the town is great. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We found this place due to high winds and a blizzard. We stayed 1 night and it was fine. The sites are grass/dirt. Since the campground is part of the hotel you can use their amenities. The cable and Wi-Fi worked great. They had a hot tub in the hotel and we also got a continental breakfast included with our stay. If you need an overnight place to camp, this is perfect. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
