Very nice place. We didn't get into the actual campground because it was full but they had a picnic area that they gave us a spot for the night. It was really very nice spot if we were going to stay longer I would have been very happy to stay in that spot. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had site #30. Pull-thru with full service. Cable TV has 3 stations. No WiFi. Too many trees. Leaves and branches fell on top of slide outs. Only dumpster is at front office. Picnic tables are "gross". Old- moldy and we didn't touch them. Rec. room and laundry room smelled so moldy that we didn't use them. Smells real bad. $3/day charge for A.C. and or heater. Owners were very nice but this campground needs some clean-up & paint up... We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
WOW - the train noise at night was an added bonus to the un-kept appearance of the park. The unlevel sites added to the rustic feeling. I would NEVER stay here again. The owners were nice but MAJOR work needs to be done, including moving the park away from the train that rolls through at 2am. Spend your money wisely and stay at a KOA. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
It's a very nice park. The roads could be wider, but it's okay. Lots of trees, so no satellite access. Quiet. Site was level. Personnel very nice. Well stocked store. Easy access to Gorham... the moose tour is a must! We were there in July and there were LOTS of mosquitos. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was one of the worst places we have stayed; the bugs were so bad that we could not take our kids outside and had to run them to the truck. The picnic tables were very dirty and moldy. The sites were just big enough to get a trailer into. The grass was long, but they did have a nice pool; but it was hard getter there because of the bugs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very rustic. Roads were gravel/dirt. Sites were dirt and not very level. There were lots of trees making it hard to get in to some sites. Electricity was low voltage. We would not stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Loved this place! The area scenery does not get any better than this. Even though there were no hook-ups or showers, only modern bathrooms, we would return here in a minute. We wish they would consider a dump station. The roads are asphalt and the sites are spacious and well maintained. We had no trouble with our 40 ft motorhome in the Big Meadow wooded section. Hayes Field is available for those wanting a mountain view in an open field. There are numerous hiking trails around the campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an excellent campground if you like one with no showers, electric and sewers. It is in the White Mountain Natinal Forest so it is beautiful and some sites are able to see part of Mount Washington. You can hear the water running down the mountain from some sites and others are on a cliff overlooking the river depending on the season whether you can see it. There are very private sites and others that are in a meadow which can handle big rigs with great views of the mountains. This campground is used by a lot of campers that hike Mt. Washington and other mountains in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
