Roads a little narrow. First site we were put in was too small for my 32 footer. The back end hung off an embankment and I couldn’t put down my stabilizers. They gave me a bigger site without issue. The lake and Beach are nice. The bathrooms were not very clean. Went on a Biplane ride over Lake Winnipesaukee, That was awesome. Check it out if you’re in the area: www.lakesbiplane.com We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a lovely large park with roomy wooded sites. Many of the sites are on a different level than adjacent sites, adding more privacy. Each site has a fire ring. There are several bath houses, some newer than others. The one closest to us was older, and adequate. We were in site 144, which backed up onto a marshy area. Mosquitoes weren't a problem when we were there, but in warmer weather there might be an issue. There is a lovely, clean sandy beach. Interior roads were pretty good. The park is well cared for, sites are clean, and seasonal camping units were not junky. We were sorry that our schedule didn't allow us to stay longer in this beautiful location. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We absolutely LOVE this campground. A little pricey, and the playground is very small, but most of the sites are well secluded and very nice. We go here as many times a year as possible. We love it! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Very clean campground with lots of level wooded sites. Most sites are reasonably private with large fireplaces. The office staff was extremely helpful and polite. Lots of seasonals but most are off too one side of the campground and they were clean with newer trailers. We would absolutely stay here again, just watch out for the sites near the marsh out back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is our favorite weekend getaway campground. Great wooded sites with full hookups, a very nice lake with a sandy beach and centrally located in the Lakes Region. The campground does have a great deal of seasonal campers but we never felt like outsiders. I would say the rates are a little pricey but about average for this area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nosey owners who lack the appreciation for privacy. Security rides around all night long on a golf cart shining lights into campsites counting people. Very inflexible. Lake is not close to primary campsites. So, it could be a bit of a walk to go to the lake. Grounds are rolling and could be difficult for anyone with a handicap or difficulty breathing when walking. Kids can not be kids at this campground without getting warnings from the owner. Over-priced compared to other campgrounds in the area that are far more flexible. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Camped in a pop-up in May 2003. Excellent campground..extremely clean, private, wooded sites. Site was raked and supply of wood in campfire ring upon arrival.Restrooms and showers very clean, even though we were there after it had rained quite a bit. Only small downfall was the traffic noise from the nearby highway. We had a site on the water and we did notice that the highway noise was not as noticeable further in to the campground. Staff attentive and very visible throughout the grounds. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This campground is family run and extremely clean. It is on a lake with boating and docks. The beach is very large and the lake is very clean. The owners are in the process of rebuilding all of the sites by installing new sewers, electric, water and cable. The campground is open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. This is one to try in the Lakes Region of NH. We camped here in a camper.
Our family of four from Florida camped at Harbor Hill for several weeks this summer, and we will definitely return on our next trip to NH. This was a great family campground, extremely clean and safe for our kids, ages 5 and 7. The owners and their children were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcomed right from the start. It was the perfect central location for our visit to NH. The campground is beautifully wooded with fire rings and picnic tables at every site. The sites are diversified and accommodate everything from tents to large rigs like our 38' motorhome. If you are looking for the campground to serve as a daycare for your kids all day and night, or a place to party all night long, then Harbor Hill may not be the place to go. But if you are searching for good old fashioned family camping in a clean, friendly, safe and courteous environment, and in a great lakes region location, then we give 5 stars to Harbor Hill Camping Area. We will most definitely be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice clean park. Wi-Fi at office but since we were only about 100' away I was able to use signal booster to get good reception at site #14. Friendly manager. Clean sites. Noted prohibition of electric heat and electric water heaters so used our propane. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I camped here last summer for one week with my 2 children (3 and 1) along with another family (separate site) who also had 2 children (10 and 5). We expected to be camping in an RV but ended up in a tent at the last minute due to mechanical failures. Our husbands joined us on the trip only during the weekends, leaving just the "girls and kids" during the week. We were concerned with the security of the campground: especially with the loss of our RV and subsequent stay in a tent, and could not have been taken better care of! The owners reassured me right at check in that their house was just behind the rec hall (within yelling distance from our site) but there was never an issue. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever encountered in our lifetime of camping. The sites were maintained immaculately clean: being cleaned literally within minutes of campers checking out, down to raking the entire site. The service was amazing, even to the point of delivering fire wood to our sites and stacking it neatly by the fireplace when purchased from the store so we wouldn't have to carry it! A huge help to us moms camping on our own. The only complaint I would have for this campground was the pool. It was fine, but even the "shallow" end was quite deep for my young children, starting I believe at 4 feet deep. Not a complete issue, but definitely made swimming alone with 2 young non-swimmers more of a challenge than I had expected. (Fortunately, there were some extremely friendly campers who were kind enough to share their "noodles" with us which was a huge help!) All in all we absolutely loved this campground and have already made reservations to return for another moms and kids week this year! Sadly, the dates we had planned our preferred sites were not available, so we have gone so far as to change our vacation dates to be able to stay here once again! We camped here in a Tent.
We had a delightful stay here. Has nice, wooded sites and very clean restrooms. The pool is small but nice (the kids liked it). The office staff was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. Great location convenient to beaches and town. We discovered a flat tire on the trailer as we were packing to leave, and the campground staff went out of their way to help us repair it. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
We could not be any happier with Habor Hill. We camped here for our first trip of the season (Memorial Day Weekend). We arrived before check in time and were able to get right into our site. The site itself was great. Big enough for our truck, pop up, & screen house with plenty of room to spare. The only downfall to our site (#50) was the light pole outside our site. It would shine into the tent at night. The other downfall to the site was it was a bit unlevel near the hook ups. These were the only two reasons why we didn't rate them a 10. The site was woodsy and private and easy to back the trailer into. The campground was quiet, the people staying were respectful, and the staff were a delight. Bathrooms and showers were always clean. It's close enough to the lake and Weirs Beach. Driving distance to many sightseeing landmarks. Can't wait to camp with them again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
In looking for campgrounds over the past couple of years, I noticed that this one had very good reviews. The first time I tried to book the campground was full. We booked for Memorial Day weekend early on. I was never so let down as with this campground. The people in the office were not friendly at all. I mentioned during the booking that the pool was the most important item for us at the campground for my son and it was closed! And then we were told that they never open it Memorial Day weekend. Very different than when I booked the sites. There was a clogged toilet there from 6 AM and it was still there when we left at 11 AM. The mens room was infested with ants - they were crawling all over the urinal. The sites had not been touched for opening. A HUGE pile of leaves sat in all the fire pits. We had 5 sites and they had most of the tent sites still open. And I have to pay for my adult children even though they are on an already paid site. We were treated awful. I will not be returning here. And we were looking so forward to a new place to go! We camped here in a Tent.
The park is extremely well kept. There are both shaded and sunny sites, with the majority in the shade. The people at the front desk are outstanding. They go out of their way to help. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent campground located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Secluded yet close enough to the outside world. Facilities: the play area and sport court include jungle gym, basketball court, boche ball with all equipment provided by the park office, swimming pool, paved roads, cabins to rent as well as sites. Campfires allowed in provided pit. Secure campground with electronic gate. Office includes a camp store with all the necessities including a game room. Family owned by very helpful people. RV repair company is close by in case it is needed to come to the campsite. Wheelchair accessible. Cell phones have access. There are many things to do within a short distance: Weirs Beach with its water slides and go-karts, fishing, shopping, the White Mountain attractions, swimming at a nearby beach on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great campground, lots of room between sites, and clean washrooms. The kids enjoyed the pool. I just wish that the pool seating area was cooler. The pool is inside. Staff was great. We will return again next year for Soul Fest in Gilford, NH We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This park is convenient to the highway and the sites are very wide - but that's where the good things end. Meridith Woods is really in the woods. The sites are surrounded by tall trees - ours was so dark it was hard to tell when it was daylight. We could not sit outside more than 5 minutes without being eaten by mosquitoes as big as horseflies. My brother came by to see our Motorhome since he had never seen it. He had to pay $8.00 for him and my sister-in-law to get in the park. All visitors have to pay 4.00 per person, even if they are not staying long. There are a lot of rules in this park that I have never seen in other parks, We traveled from the West Coast to here and stayed in a lot of parks. The washers and dryers (there are only 2) are old and they smell - your clothes smell worse after washing them than they did before. I would not recommend this park for more than just an over nite. We will not stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice level sites surrounded by woods for separation from other units. Since this is a year-round resort, there are mostly year-round park model units. The indoor pool is a nice touch. Roads are paved. Not a fan of Wi-Fi fees, but the service was very good. Proximity to Lakes Region is a major plus. Generally quiet park except for the huge number of motorcycle-riding campers. Snowmobile trails all around the park provide good hiking. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice indoor pool and hot tub, but very strong chlorine smell. Sites shady, very wide and private, but need some gravel; muddy after rain. Paved roads/ Good cable and Wi-Fi card reception; CG charges for Wi-Fi. Only major complaint was lotssss of mosquitoes. CG says they spray for mosquitoes, but maybe should work on eliminating the water where they breed. Not on lake but sister CG, Clearwater CG is; Meredith Woods is quieter and more private than Clearwater. Staff very helpful. CG sign is hard to see until you are top on it; they should tell you to turn at the flashing light. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Sites are very large and very private. Paved roads are very good, just a coople of tight turns but that may be more of our inexperience. Very clean, just plain nice, well, actually near perfect. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not just an RV parking lot. It is an excellent facility with large level wooded sites and great stone fire pits. Sites were private and uncrowded. Apparently all sites are back in but most appeared wide and easy to maneuver into. Wi-fi ($10/week, $2/day extra) was reasonably fast and we had no dropped connections. Great hot tub and nice pool, both indoors. Good location for fall leaf viewing expeditions and reasonably located for visits to a number of attractions and shopping area's. No structured activities for kids, but we didn't bring any. About 75% seasonal campers, but everyone was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Beautiful Wooded Campground No Pull Through Sites. $2.00 per day WIFI. Many Seasonal sites. Full Hook Ups very convenient. Indoor Pool and Hot Tub. Open Year Around. Gated Community. $10 refundable Deposit for gate key. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground has large sites with the best campfire pits I have ever seen. Their telephone number is (603) 279-5449. The reception personnel are more than helpful. There is a $5.00 Gate Card Deposit upon arrival, this fee is refunded upon departure. Their cancellation policy is more than 1 week in advance, $10.00 fee, less than 1 Week in advance, no refund. There is slight road noise at the campground. The sites, while large, do require some skillful driving to back in larger trailers. This is due to the roadway width. Overall this campground is a great value. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Perhaps the least fun campground that we have been to. On the positive side of things, the sites are large, main road is paved, things are quiet. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub here with a small game room and store. On the real side of things, there is nothing at this campground to do other than having the pool to use. No activities, no nothing. You can walk to the entrance of the campground, cross a major roadway with cars going by at 55 mph to get to another campground that is on the lake to use their amenities. Camping is all what you make of it, but this campground is one that definitely we will not be returning to. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
After an exhaustive search for the perfect campground along the NH & ME seacoast then the Lake Winnipesaukee area my wife and I decided to look at just one more campground. Since finding Meredith Woods, we have spent on separate visits a total of 5 1/2 weeks there. This place has "wooded" sites with real trees & woods in-between campsites. It's mostly quiet and serene, (some sites are in ear shot of Rt104) and the sites are roomy. All sites have full hookups. There are limited seasonal sites and some of those are available year round. I'm hesitant to post this raving review in fear that too many other campers will book up the place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This year round campground has an indoor pool and great sites which are very large and far apart. It is owned by the same family that owns Clearwater CG. If you camp here you can also use the boating and swimming facilities at Clearwater CG. This CG has very clean washrooms and is well kept. In the winter they have a skating rink and sliding area. You can also snow mobile right from your site and go many miles on the trails. The campgorund maintains the nearby trails and they all connect into the main trails. This is a must try CG in the Lakes Region of NH. We camped here in a camper.
