If you want to stay at a place where both kids and adults enjoy each others company than Grand View Campground is for you. They offer kids activity's like fishing derby's, kids carnival and set up water park and for the adults fishing derby's comedy shows (with headliner comedians). Saturday racing and bingo. The staff is helpful but at times they can be very busy so they come off as they don't want to help you but in the end they take care of you. I am now a seasonal camper there and can't wait until May when they reopen. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This campground is not a member of the Better Business Bureau. Their business practices reflect that. They are listed under Grand View Camping Area. Beware appearances at Grand View are misleading. In addition at the end of the summer (2006) they informed all campers the drinking water quality was unsafe and instructed us not to use it for the remainder of the season! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I spent the better part of my children's childhood on a seasonal site in this campground and have left it due to the people who run the place now. They have cut down most of the trees, took away people's privacy, made people's sites smaller to jam more sites into spaces barely big enough for 1 camper, harassed people for driving 1 or 2 miles over the 5mph speed limit, cut down the camping season, and made so many rules it is impossible to do anything without having the camp manager make you feel like you are going to be thrown out of the campground. This used to be a beautiful campground but now it has been destroyed. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
