Wonderful place to camp. Our site had a covered picnic table area, fire ring and grill. There are several hiking and biking trails in the park. If you don't like being remote or possibly being the only people around in a very quiet area, you probably won't care for this place. There are only vault toilets (clean) and no showers. There is water available but not at the sites. Our site had million dollar views for $7.00 a night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
One of the most beautiful spots in Northern New Mexico at the confluence of the Rio Grande and Red Rivers on BLM developed facility. Outstanding bicycle/hiking area. Very few amenities but there is water and restrooms available along with picnic tables and grills. Visitor center is well stocked with maps and experts on local animals and geology. If you like remote but accessible this is it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate is for PPA and was cash only. Not a bad campground for the area. Sites and restrooms/laundry showed some updating. Wi-Fi available only near office, not at campground. TV available only through installed satellite dish, rental receiver. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This campsite is back off the main highway and is nicely landscaped. The owners were pleasant and didn't have a lot of rules and restrictions. The bathrooms and showers definitely needed some makeovers, or at least kept cleaner with better lighting and cleared the bugs out of the showers. They had a neat little pond you could sit around and relax and watch their swans. Good price for what you get. Nice views of the mountains in the back and right along a river you could walk to. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I am rating this previously unrated campground to warn 'big rigs' that this is not for you even though they advertise it as such (it's a Passport campground 26 miles from Taos). This 'looks' like a rather small rustic campground as we walked through it. We did not stay there because we could not have gotten our rig into the campground safely. We camped here in a Motorhome.
