We were supposed to receive a Passport America rate. My wife got out a $20 bill so we were charged $20 instead of the $15 PA rate. Plus she charged $3 additional for the use of an A/C. Only noticed after the fact what with being tired coming off the road. easy Marks, I suppose. Our campsite was six feet off the berm of a busy highway, a fact initially concealed by a row of bushes which the road noise had no trouble penetrating. Bathrooms were old and had not been cleaned recently. A sign in each bathroom proclaimed: “Hot water turned off from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM”. We camped here in a travel trailer and would not do so again under any circumstance. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We phoned ahead to check availability of pull-throughs which they said they had. When we arrived there seemed to be a strange arrangement for the only 2 pull-throughs. Ended up with them lowering a rope, exiting back on to road to a gas station, to turn around to access site, to get hook-ups on the right side. Staff very helpfully held up traffic whilst we performed this maneuver (all a bit scary). No sewer hook-up only water and electric. Dump station located further into campsite with no made up road to it. As ground seemed to be very soft from recent rain, decided against using it. Site well kept and clean. Very busy road with a lot of noise from passing vehicles. Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were heading back home and wanted to stay for and evening to break up the trip. We decided on this campground because it was a Passport America Campground and about halfway home. We did not reserve a spot and new that that could be a problem. We pulled in around 3pm and had a hard time tracking down someone to book in too. Once we found someone she stated she had room. When asked if the Passport America price would apply she stated No! I said thank you and started back toward my truck and trailer. As I got to fender she came out and said she would honor the Passport America. I returned to the Office, filled out the camp form and had pulled out my money. She asked `how many adults` I said two and then told her three dogs. She waited for about ten seconds and then informed me she was going to charge $2 per dog. I turned around and left. There had been no sign nor mention of a charge for dogs. We will NEVER set foot near this campground again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
