If you read the post that gives this place a 10, you'll see it must be written by an owner or friend of an owner. Who else writes like they are writing a brochure - an owner or seasonal friend of the owner!!! We would never camp here again. Beware! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Guestward Ho is the most peaceful place on earth. The first thing you notice when you drive in is that everything is beautifully manicured. The view is breathtaking. Tall green pines line the left side of the road and to the right, lay a pond and lake that are connected. Hills and trees surround the lake. Campsites are at many levels. You can find them along the water or up under the trees. You could spend hours sitting under your awning, reading and listening to birds. Holiday weekends are busy. They have planned activities for all ages. In the evening, entertainment is in the rec hall. On these holidays a DJ or band can be heard. The band is usually over by midnight. When you call for a reservation, ask what is planned for that weekend. If it's total quiet you are looking for, a holiday weekend isn't for you. You will always feel welcome by management and seasonal campers. If a problem occurs, let management know. They don't hesitate getting to the bottom of the matter. Hope to see you soon. The Guest-ward Ho is great . I have been there 7 years . My kids love it . I am a seasonal camper . I have 5 children ages 11-20 . The town of Deposit is quaint . It has a low crime rate and and it is a place where you can have your child walk down the street without fear . The town is surrounded by mountains and has the Delaware River running through it . The Campground is run and owned by Dana and Diane . They took over the facility about 4 years ago . It has never been better . They are an easy going couple that will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable . The Guest-ward ho has many seasonal campers who return year after year . Some of them have been there for 30 years . That should speak for its self . They have parties on holidays and anyone who is there is welcome to come and have a good time . My wife and I look forward to every weekend there so we can unwind to a beautiful lake with a mountainous view . A golf coarse is 2 miles down the road and it has 18 holes . The river has Trout in it and it is visited every year by many fly fisherman . I like to refer to the camp ground as paradise . It is truly eden like . We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was the rowdiest campground that we have ever visited. We were in the area to fish the West Branch of the Delaware River and the fishing was great. The seasonals we so rowdy that we will never return. Their web site says that they have cable, but it was not available when we set up. Our site was so out of level that the owner had to supply a bunch of lumber and concrete blocks. The only reason that the place did not get a score of 1 is that the owners seemed to want to make us feel welcome. We were camped next to the pavilion and they had a dance/karaoke party that continued past midnight. The music was so loud that our windows were rattling. The next night a group of teens spent 2 hours swearing at each other and using racial slurs near the swings next to our site. Another boy almost crashed his bike into our campfire wile riding through our site at a high rate of speed. I have camped all over the continent and have never been as dissatisfied. The owners better crack down on the seasonals or they will have legal trouble at some point. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
