Sites are decent size, but consist of soft packed dirt. Our site, as well as others, was heavily rutted and sloped off badly towards the trees. Electrical hookups are a disaster. Many have taped on extension cord pigtails for you to plug into. Plugs range from one 50 amp plug to 15 amp plugs and the associated breaker may not match the plug. The cable TV is good, but the wires for it are scattered all over and laying on top of the ground. Management appears to be generally more concerned about their inn than their campground. We stayed there two weeks in a motorhome, but would not return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Interesting spot as long as your rig is not too large. Back in spots on grass with utilities between each two sites, so might be on the wrong side. We did not see the sewer hookup until parked and did not have enough hose. Very good water, good power, cable and WIFI. Bathrooms were old, but relatively clean. Did not use laundry other than deep sink. Interesting old style north country bar/restaurant with good food - we enjoyed the weekend prime rib and fried haddock. Lots of trails for walking (snowmobiling). Great spot for local canoe/kayaking. Mostly folks who spend 2 to 4 weeks every year. Nothing really for kids, great for adults. Friendly campers and owners. Not much in this area w/ hookups. We were torn between rating 6 or 7. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful natural setting coupled with a historical site, including a charming inn and restaurant/bar. Miles of hiking trails in the State Forest next to the campground. There was a deer in the morning along the edge of the campgrounds near the beginning of the (snowmobile) hiking trail. We had a large, good, like-home meal at the restaurant. Showers are basic but but clean and free. Very quiet; just one other camper came in the night. There were coyotes howling in the evening for a few minutes. We would definitely come back here again and stay a few days! We camped here in a Motorhome.
