This is a nice campground with lots to do in the area as well as in the campground. We didn't partake in the camp activities but they are there. The store is very good with lots of selection. The sites and grounds are nice and clean and the staff was helpful. The washrooms and showers could improve a bit but they weren't bad for a busy campground. It is a very large park but it didn't feel crowded as sites are spaced out nicely. Lots of shade as well. Being in the Adirondacks, they have a lot of bears. In saying that we didn't see any nor did we have an issue and we were in a tent. Our site was nearby the office and main washrooms so this could have been why but I didn't even see a footprint. We did see a lot of deer in the park and around the area. We haven't been to Old Forge in a long time and were very happy with our stay. Other areas in the Adirondacks are nice (Lake Placid or Lake George) but the Old Forge area is a lot quieter and still lots to do. There aren't your tacky touristy T-shirt shops like they have in Lake George.....ala in all we recommend this campground and are planning to go back next year. We camped here in a Tent.
A private campground with a state park atmosphere in a hilly area. Staff was friendly and campground was kid oriented. Seemed to be a regular place for return visitors. Our site was a long, wide, gravel backin in a forested area. Good water pressure and voltage. We arrived at night and left early, so we didn't see alot of the park. it is on our return list. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here for 3 nights. There were a few other campers here, but we pretty well had the place to ourselves. I listed our rate as $35 which is what it would have been if we had stayed in a water and electric hookup site, but we chose to stay in a lakefront site which was full service, so we actually paid $45 per night. Restrooms were very clean and nice as were the showers. The store was well stocked, but is only open until 5:00pm this time of year. Several times we had to drive into town in the evening for something we forgot. Also, their rule against electric heaters for a cg that's open year around isn't realistic. We would have no reservations about staying here again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
We adored this campsite. It has the beauty of the area but the amenities you want, especially with children. Lake is private and large enough for real kayaking, canoeing, etc., which you can rent cheaply. Wildlife is everywhere to see (yes, even bears!). Keep your food in your car and dump your trash before bed as you are told and you'll be fine. Bathrooms are the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen. They are cleaned often by diligent staff, as are campsites. Beach is wonderful with deep sand. Love outdoor movie theater. Right next to water park but you wouldn't even know it. They do offer a free shuttle and combined ticket pricing. We adored this campsite and will definitely go back. They have many rentals including adorable sleeping cabins and full lakeside cabins also. We camped here in a Tent.
We camped on a main road that the shuttle bus uses every 15 minutes to get to the Water park. The dust was so thick it covered everything, inside and out of the camper. Then they expect you NOT to use your a/c unit because their system can't handle the load. Needless to say everyone used their units and the breaker tripped several times. On the positive side the ground are pretty and the sites were large and raked clean when you pull in. Deer roam the campground looking for hand outs and the close proximity to the Village of Old Forge is a big plus. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
As commented above, a very nice campground, but we found $39 to be a bit steep for a mid-week, end-Sept stay at a park without cable or WIFI. That said, it was a very quiet & relaxing spot with immaculate heated bath house and restrooms and lots of fun shopping nearby. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is the second time we've stayed at the Old Forge Camping Resort in the past 3
summers. The campground and facilities have always been clean and the staff friendly and helpful. This is a large campground, with over 200 RV sites and around 100 cabins. The sites are well shaded and generally well spaced. Some of the sites, however, are not very deep. The interior roads and sites are sand/gravel. They have a lake swimming area. They also have free nightly movies. There is an abundance of wildlife, including deer and occasionally black bears (so be careful with food, trash, and grills). We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We just got back from a week at the Old Forge Camping Resort and had a very nice time. We had a full hook up site and found it to be very roomy with plenty of room between neighbors. The showers and restrooms were clean and conveniently located.
They have a beautiful private lake/pond with a sandy beach and canoe/row and paddle boats for rent. There are shuttle busses to and from Enchanted Forrest Water Safari which in my personal opinion is the nicest water theme park in NY State. If you are going to this campground don't forget your camera (which we unfortunately did)as the deer will come right up to you looking for a hand out. One word of caution is there are also plenty of black bears around the campground too. If you use proper caution such as not leaving food, coolers or garbage out they should not be a problem. We saw bears every single day in the woods below our campsite. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I just recently stayed at the camp and felt compelled to write a review after I found many bad reviews of this campground. We had nothing but a grand time at the campground. We tent camped and had a site right on the river. It was absolutely beautiful. The owners of the campground were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was happy and safe. To the point when we were heading to the trash dumpster they saw we were struggling with a big bag and drove us over to the dumpster in their golf cart! I have gone to many campgrounds in New York and found the bathrooms at Singing Waters to be the cleanest I have ever seen and when I went to use the facilities in the morning there was someone always in there cleaning. On our site we were able to put two good size tents, a screen house and two cars. If you plan on staying at Singing Waters spend the extra money for a river site. You will not be disappointed. We camped here in a Tent.
I found the owners of this camp to be extremely friendly. They clearly wanted to be helpful, and that goes a long way with me. Unfortunately, the sites are extremely close to one another. The clientele when we were there was LOUD, drunken and uncouth. We retreated a day early as a result. The bathrooms were very dirty. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
