The owners were friendly, and easy to work with. The park had many seasonal tenants, they were also friendly when you met them. There was no pool, but they were in the process of adding one when we were there. However, the money spent on the pool should have been spent on bathhouses for the property. There were only two rooms that had a total of 4 toilets, one each for men and women at each location. These rooms only had a toilet and a sink. We stayed 4 nights, one of the rooms had a sewage blockage and was closed on our 3rd night, the other was blocked on the 4th night and also closed, leaving us with no flush toilets at all in the campground. They had 2 other locations that had a "3 holer" on the mens side and a "4 holer" on the womens side. The shower house was just that...3 showers and 3 sinks per side. These were the only showers for the entire campground. The shower house was also a considerable distance from our site. We drove to use the showers or bathrooms. Other than the bathhouses, we enjoyed our stay. We had a site that was on the banks of the Clyde River, we could fish from our picnic table on our site. The other river bank was the Montezuma Wildlife Preserve, which is wonderful. It was possible to see Bald Eagles and Osprey Eagles fishing from the river in the early morning and late evening. The primary activity during our weekend was the fishing derby. They had 2 separate competitions, one for adults and another for children. The competition was fierce but friendly. We were able to interact with other campers to a greater degree than we have at other campgrounds because of the fishing derby. Fish stories abounded the whole weekend. I would have rated this campground much higher except for the bathhouse situation. We enjoyed our stay very much otherwise. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
