We loved this park. Owners are dog owners themselves so not sure about the earlier review, but there were no obvious problems during our stay. The sites are wooded, might be tricky for big rigs, and a little on top of each other but quiet times were observed so we had no complaints. The lake is beautiful - great for swimming, kayaking, tubing or waterskiing (the owners offer lessons and tubing time). The beach area is especially nice, with a large grassy expanse to spread out towels, chairs or a picnic. Pavilion, volleyball/badminton court, and boat launching area all on the water too. Restrooms were clean, owners were friendly, other campers were friendly (some seasonals, all well-cared for). A short distance from the tourist stuff at Lake George, but a world away. We will be making plans to return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park claims to be dog friendly and includes a dog beach. The dog beach is about 10
feet of mud entering a clearing to the lake. Park owners are unreasonable. If you have pets, be prepared to be tied to your campsite with them - meaning you could not canoe on the lake, go fishing or site seeing without you taking your pets along. This information is not disclosed on their web site! We left for 3 hours to go to town antiquing (using brochures the owner provided, knowing we had 2 labs with us). We returned to find a nasty note about dogs barking and leaving them unattended. When we approached the owners, they were very indignant and sited the "contract". We did not leave during "quiet time".(Of course children screaming doesn't seem to be a problem). Fellow campers (of which there were very few) told us (and provided names/addresses) that they did NOT hear the dogs barking until the owner was knocking on our RV. We cut our 4 day stay short (leaving after 1 nite - we went somewhere else) although the owners refused to refund any of the site fees (paid in advance at check-in). We have traveled up and down the east coast with our 5 yr. old labs and have never had any problems. Unless you are prepared for this campground's "rules" are, I'd find somewhere else to stay where you can enjoy your vacation. Note: They also have strict rules about kids (including those up to 14 years old cannot use the showers without an adult). Cable tv is not available, nor can you get any signal with a satellite dish or antenna. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground is in a very wooded area with lots of shade. Roads are narrow. Sites are dirt/sandy (no grass) which was a little bit of a problem since it rained while we were there. Swimming area is nice. Showers/restrooms were fine. There is a large pavilion with a fireplace. The campground is located about 15 minutes from Lake George. It is quiet & low-key (not commercial like some closer to town). We plan to visit again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Access road narrow which would make it very difficult for a large rig. Owner/Attendent available for assistance with backing in and out of site. Full hook up sites are 15 Amp Service. Lake Swimming. Very quiet after hours. Very friendly owners and the park rules are enforced! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
