The campground is large with level, partially serviced sites that are in the forest or in the open. We chose a site that was near the comfort station in the open (staff said there would be fewer bugs.) The bugs were horrible. I was surprised that you could hear the Trans-Canada-Hwy from our site. On Saturday night there were lively groups with lots of campfires which caused smoke to settle into the campground making the air quality seem poor (watery eyes and coughing.) There is a camp store (not yet open) with WiFi. We woke up every morning to moose droppings and footprints around our trailer. On a positive note, the comfort station was clean and newly renovated (the tile work was actually beautiful.) The visitor center is awesome (helpful staff, gift shop, touch tanks, restaurant, and WiFi.) The coastal hiking trail is quite nice. The playgrounds were great as long as you stayed moving, so the bugs didn't get you. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Rate shown includes taxes and res fees. Big campground with woodsy sites. Best A area electric sites are 22, 24, 25, 28, 32, 34 for closeness to the Sound. Hiking trail runs through campground. Modern tile bathrooms in section A with Corian counters. Visitor center and camp store cafe had Wi-Fi, but only about half those attempting seemed to be able to connect, whether using a PC laptop, Apple or iPad, for some unknown reason. Laundry in cafe store building, $2.50 each to wash or dry. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Most of the sites at the campground have no hookups. Three loops have electric (only). It is a beautiful place. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Reservations made early for the electric sites are essential for weekends during the summer. Sites are large and private with trees and shrubs so dense on either side that you can't see the site next door. Many hiking trails in this national park. This campground is not in Glovertown, but I'm not sure what town it is in - it's at the northern end of the park, where Glovertown is the HQ at the southern end. We camped here in a Motorhome.
