Best beach access around! Helpful staff and clean park. Be ready to party with your neighbors as there are some younger people around. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a great campground; we had a site on the sound side and had no problem with power or WiFi access. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and eager to please. The only negative I could say is the bathrooms could use an update. We will return. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This campground is showing its age. Oceanfront sites are dirt, and become mud puddles when it rains. Electric voltage drops when a load is put on it. Water is dirty brown. Buildings are no longer in good repair. The campground shows a general lack of attention. All of this is unfortunate because Salter Path has an excellent location with sites on the open ocean on a bluff, on the sound side of the island on the water with a sunset view, and under trees for those who want that. Waterfront sites have no privacy and range from well spaced to tight. Tent and tent camper sites uner the trees are small. WiFi did not work when we were there because we could not install it. Installation software appeared old and out of date so we could not install it with windows XP Home. Large five story condos are being built right next to the campground's property line on the sound side. On the ocean side sites on the property line are bordered by five story condos on one side, and a run down trailer park on the other. I hope the owners are not waiting to sell the campground for development, but the general lack of maintenance makes me wonder. This could be a wondeful campground due to its location. As of this writing it leaves a lot to be desired. We've camped at Salter Path twice and will grudginly camp there again because of its excellent location. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have previously rated this campground but I forgot a very important item. REFUNDS! They, without even asking why, will give a refund everytime. Our friends had paid for 13 nights but decided to leave on day 11. They went to the office to check out and were given a refund for the two remaining nights without any question. We heard of this from several people. This is unheard of in this business. What a generous and liberal policy but will also go a long way in the customer relations arena. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love this campground. The activities for the kids are great. It is very family oriented. The only negative are the bath houses. They are tolerable but could really use a good cleaning. They have been the same for years. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great Ocean Front campground. There are campsites on the Ocean and Sound. The restrooms/showers could be cleaner but I've seen worse. We camped here in a camper.

Even though my overall rating is a 7 we love this campground. The ocean front sites are located directly on the ocean and it is small enough to be very cozy. This is located on Bouge Banks (a 20 miles long island) so the campground has ocean and sound front sites. Our favorite is the ocean front side. The bath houses are not the cleanest but I have seen much worse. They have activities for the kids during the summer. We camped here in a camper.
