This is a really well kept and convenient spot on the Pungo River, just east of Belhaven, NC. They have a boat launch ramp and propane available, and are the last and best place to wait overnight for the Swan Quarter ferry to Ocracoke Island. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
There are not many full-hookup campgrounds in this part of rural North Carolina. This campground is off the beaten path, offers very large campsites near a river, is very quiet, only $20/night, and the owners are very friendly & helpful. For instance, the sign at the office says "If we're not around, just pick out a site and get settled in, we'll come around and see you later". Laundry and showers facilities are provided. The campground is adjacent to a mobile home park, no wi-fi and limited cell phone access as only US Cellular seems to work here. The campsites are in two areas, one area is wide open and the other in the trees. The nearest grocery store is about 11 miles away on the 264 bypass in Belhaven, so stock up before coming to the campground. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
