Well maintained grounds and sites, very friendly staff, good-size RV sites, minimal to no shade. Very quiet. Small playground for children. Has a location for launching kayak or canoe onto the sound and a pier for fishing. Bathhouse very clean and showers are excellent. Although the campground itself is not bike friendly (gravel road and no bike lane nearby), there are plenty of bike trails closer toward the main part of town. Campground is on an island on the sound side of the Outer Banks. Daily rate based on the weekly rate of $200/week. Laundry - washer-$1.50; dryer - $1.00. Would definitely stay here again. Much to see and do; recommend staying a week to take advantage of the weekly rate. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our first time in this simple yet well situated and pleasant park, and won't be the last. Nothing fancy but everything we needed. Stayed for 8 nights over Thanksgiving period, rate is based on a weekly charge plus the one extra day. Level, gravel sites, quite large, ours backed up to a good size open space bordered by the water. Several people took advantage of that area to give their big dogs some needed play/run time. All services fine, management was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Several rigs like ours on the way south for the winter; others on the back side of the park seemed to be seasonal. About 2 miles west and down a fairly busy two lane road from 158 bypass, easy to get to anything in the area. Turn into a quiet residential street where the residents have placed a few makeshift speed bumps, no big deal and we respect their desire to protect their children and pets. Other than the unseasonably cold weather, we enjoyed our visit! We camped here in a Motorhome.
