An excellent small campground located about 100 yards from the beach. You must be military or retired military to camp here or to use the facilities. Large camping spots with electric, water and sewer at a extremely low price being so close to the beach. We tried to get a reservation to go back in June but they were all booked up. This would be a great get-away during the Fall or Winter. I would definitely camp here again and would recommend the area for a relaxing stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Superior camp ground! You must be military, retired or active or have a retired/acitve military sponsor with you to camp here. We have been here several times. There is nothing negitive to say! Visit the website, too many aminities to list here. You name it, they have it. The staff is outstanding and go out of their way to make your stay plesant. Great fishing! Hot in summer so bring a fan or AC. No electric in the tent area. Water front views only in tent area or RV overflow area I personally prefer the RV overflow, no sewer hookup but nice, shady and close to the Cape Fear river. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a military affiliated campground so you must be active duty, retired military or civil service to use it. It is very small. There is only about 10 pads for large RVs. It is like most military campgrounds, it is kept clean and neat. It is right across the street from Kure Beach (below Wilmington). We thoroughly enjoyed it and will stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
