I gave this campground a 3 instead of a lower number only because it is a really pretty setting, and smaller RV's/campers might have a better experience. It is on the shore of Devil's Lake, and the lake has been rising for several years. An entire row of campsites is under water & no longer in use, but no mention of this was made when the office staff gave us a map to get to our site (no escort). This caused us to take the wrong road, as we thought we were one road farther from the water than we were; it was a service road & we sustained major damage to our roof from trees. When I reported this to the office, they were "sorry" but offered nothing else; I suggested they change their maps but just got a shrug. The interior roads are dirt, rutted & bumpy, & have low-hanging trees; no one with a larger rig should try to navigate them! There are new sites farther from shore but they appear to be only for seasonal residents. We left after only one night, when we had planned to stay for three. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
