CG owned & run by town's merchants, very friendly, helpful staff. Open campground on mostly gravel lot overlooking Louisbourg Harbor, across the bay from Louisbourg Fortress (a restoration of Louis XV fort now portrayed in 1744). You can see the Fortress from the campground through the fishing boats. You get a second day on your Fortress ticket if you stay in Louisbourg, have the CG stamp your entry ticket. Walk to playhouse, library, post office, store & several restaurants, 5 min drive to Fortress. Tent sites are on a grassy lot to one side (next to harbor boardwalk), with a picnic table placed on a cement pad, each with it's own shelter roof. Nice large glass gazebo w pay phone-modem. We could not get Direct TV satellite (out of the footprint, we think), but would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Open gravel spaces surrounding small suite hotel on a peninsula in Louisbourg harbor, near Louisbourg Fortress entrance. Meals available on site, walking distance to town. WiFi is in progress. Appears to be out of direct TV footprint. Would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
