This campground has a great view of Bras D'Or and Seal Island Bridge from all sites. Campground is located on Trans Canada Highway 105 & easy to get to all the sights on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, and Fortress Louisbourg. Also within 15 miles of the Newfoundland Ferry. Friendly staff & very clean restroom and laundry areas. Also, has cabins & good tent camping.Does have modem, but would benefit from WiFi. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We decided to stay here because they don't let you park overnight at the parking lot for the ferry to Newfoundland. We LOVED it. Nice family running it. It can be a little dusty when it hasn't rained for a spell. The campground is built into the side of a hill that was carved out to build the foundation for the bridge you can see below. All sites are level. There is a beautiful view of the nearby bridge. We stayed here a second time on the way back from Newfoundland and weren't able to get as good a spot in the tiered section. They need to invest in wifi and more washers and dryers, but those are minor issues. It's a beautiful place. Even the biggest rigs can fit. Be sure to stop in at the Celtic Country Market bakery when you are in the area - it's right on the main highway in No. Sydney. There is another campground in the area, closer to the ferry, but it's just a big grassy field with hookups; we didn't even consider it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
